My vote is anywhere that is BYOW. I've noticed we are quite a loud group ( lots of laughter and talking), so we may want to find a place that will accomidate that without disturbing the other diners.

Eddie's Napoli's in Garland is great food and very inexpensive. BYOW.
I think you should remove Terilli's from the possibilities since it burned to the ground last week.

they have another terilli's in plano. byow is better in my opinion for both the owner and the customer. the owner loses all responsibility and liability that he would have if he was selling the drinks and can put a time limit on how long a customer stays. for the customer they can bring their own wine at a price that's half of what a restaurant would charge. and btw, terilli's and three other joints burning down? sounds suspicious. looks like the bank came calling.

I agree, I think the BYOW idea is a keeper so now let's look for a nice place with a private room. The BYOW places I recommended do not have private rooms. No doubt there are some great Italian restaurants in our area but the BYOW places tend to be smaller, cheaper and sometimes out of the way. Covino's is too small. Aboca's is great but no private room. Picasso's in Plano has a private room but it would only hold maybe 10 people or so. I think we could have a great time and bring ton's of wine at a BYOW and sometimes 1/4 the price. Who knows of one with a big room?

What about Amici's Signature in Carrollton? Very good Italian food and BYOW but I cannot recall if they have a suitable back room. Website says they can accomodate parties up to 50 but don't know if that is in a privae room.

How about this place, MoMo Italian Specialities, http://www.momosrestaurant.com/index.htm It is BYOB and according to there website under events they have a banquet room that can seat up to 50.
I have never been there but it sounds good, heck I may even try it out if we don't go there.

Good ideas. Give them a call or go by and then write us a review. LOL. Think of the potential acronyms for reviewing an Italian Restaurant......... BCCID (Best Chicken Cacciatore in Dallas). GGB (great garlic bread).

Momos is a great place, I go there alot. But they have weird hours, they are open from like 11 to 2, for lunch, and they close for dinner, like 5 to 9.
Can't go wrong with anything there. Very small bar and place mabey about 20 tables, and they dont have a private room.
