Now back to the OP. I really bothers me that we give legal immigrants so many benefits. My mother immigrated here in the late 50's via my father being in the military. She didn't receive a damn thing via the government. And back then military pay, especially for enlisted folk, was pitiful.

I know a lady who immigrated here from Panama via a similar scenario. She got her green card and divorced him. She has a good full time job at a bank. She is receiving money from the government to go to college, even though she only takes a few courses per semester. She is also receiving money to help pay for her house and kids.

How can that be justified?

It's very little compared to the entitlements middle class people receive.

Most lower income people who receive government benefits have full time jobs but they can't pay for their expenses on what they make, and that's not their fault. The labor market determines what compensation is, not "merit."

For years I worked for a medical manufacturer in Austin and we paid only about $20,000 per year for our full time production workers making critical surgical devices. Our labor burdon for Cost of Goods Delivered was only about 8% LOL...

Try paying your living expenses on $20,000 a year Dude....

How is consider yourself lucky we don't live in the city????? What is the remark after that......???? Did I say I would hurt him or beat him- now you are adding conjecture and what if's- hell if we lived in the same city he would have no excuse but to pay up right? However, he requested that I drive to San Antonio which is 3 hours from me to meet him and get payment- highly unlikely- if we lived in the city he would have no way out of the deal.

You don't have to be wealthy to own an iphone jack ass. Also if they are driving off in their "BMW's" did they show you the title? How do you know the BMW is their's? How do you know it's not a parent's relatives, friends rented etc? Also, do you get as upset when wealthy people beat the system and take advantage of loopholes to not pay taxes or hide their incomes? How many celebs have been busted b the IRS for not paying millions in taxes?
