Fellow pro-vaxxers and pro-maskers,
This shows why it’s futile to argue with the disbelievers. The American educational system has failed them. Most are very good at addition and subtraction. But not so good at multiplication and division.
618,000 people have died from COVID in the USA. The population is 330,000,000. So 0.19% of the population has died so far from COVID. The actual infection fatality rate in the USA is almost certainly over 0.5%. Even the similarly math challenged Great Disbeliever Waco Kid agrees with this. Texassapper believes the infection fatality rate is only .02%. He’s off by at least a factor of 25.
Your brother in love,
Tiny

Well, it depends on age, gender and race, and comorbidities.
I don't think the delta and lambda variants are well understood at this point, but for the original virus we had, the fatality rate for healthy young WHITE MALES was pretty low.
However, just because you don't die from the virus doesn't mean you don't experience long term negative effects from it.

The media portrays everything in black and white, us vs. them, but that's not based in reality. It's politically motivated.

Yeah, I agree. A prior infection may be more protective against infection than the vaccine. I think self isolation is overkill.

Agreed, but if you’re looking at protecting your brothers and sisters in love, not just yourself, it’s best to look at the IFR for the country as a whole.
WD misses Mystic so I’m trying to substitute with the love thing.

I'm saving money. That's the main reason I'm doing it. I get to avoid COVID in the process LOL.

Does that include motorcycle accidents counted as covid?
There’s no way the infection rate numbers are accurate because most people who are “infected” show no symptoms and aren’t counted. .02% is likely too high.

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1...07v1.full-text
They estimate in July the Moderna vaccine was 76% effective in preventing infection, and the Pfizer vaccine 42% effective.
I address this post to the believers. We’re largely protected from severe disease, hospitalization and death because we’ve received the vaccine. For us COVID is no longer any worse than the flu.
Satan has hardened the hearts of the disbelievers, the anti-vaxxers and the anti-maskers. We will not be able to change their minds. But they are our brothers and sisters. We must do what we can to save them from the ravages of a potentially fatal disease. We should begin to mask up when in close proximity in indoor spaces. And be particularly careful when around the old, the fat and the diabetic disbelievers.
Israel is trying to combat this fall off in the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine with third shots for the most vulnerable. We must consider doing the same.
Your brother in love,

If one Vaccine isn't effective enough and two hasn't proven to be much better. What makes you think three will do the trick?

Two shots are very effective at preventing hospitalization and death, at least so far. How effective will they be after a year or two, as immunity falls off and additional variants arise? Who knows.
In any event, my reason for getting a third shot soon will not be to protect me. It will be to protect those like you who choose to remain unvaccinated. And to help the United States of America, in our economic war with China.
You're welcome,
Tiny

You being Vaccinated three times doesn't protect me or anyone else from anything. It will just make you more Antibody Dependent.

OK, now I might add a little bit of my own interpretation to this but this is "what I heard from an expert virologist". We could be truly fucked.
The Chinese may have done their job of "teaching" this virus how to infect humans to the degree that "we" gave them the "forever" blueprint of how to fight anything we throw at it in the way of vaccines.
Imagine that for a minute, we taught this virus how to defeat us. Not saying that's true and inevitable but..........
But then, look how many people have beaten this virus? Sure, it could end up killing a whole shitload of us but there are to many of us anyway.
Sorry Tiny, I think a thinning of the herd is exactly what humanity needs and who better than "volunteers" to accomplish it?
I'm will absolutely take the next booster shot as soon as it's ready and I'll take the one after that and the one after that should I live that long and I will have absolutely no sympathy what so ever for those who chose not to and I will continue to champion their right not to get vaccinated and not to wear a mask.
I'll do me, you guys do you and may the best man be the last man standing.

That's true in a natural sense. But haven't you heard of Antibody Dependent Enhancement? You can't just keep vaccinating people every few weeks or months and expect a miraculous outcome.
