Beautiful Lake Shore Drive in the background as well, right about now it is probably slow moving from Montrose or Irving all the way in to town. 78704, I get the same thing from people here, someone once saw a picture of people walking with their faces buried in their hands looking at the sidewalk wondering what was wrong with them, they didn't understand that that the wind slices in to your face like razor blades.

Now if it snows in Austin, the Saints win the Super Bowl, does this finally mean the Cubbies are going to do it this year??? Or will the Bartman fly in on the back of one of those pretty birds you showed us and stab all the fans in their hearts again

the new curse in boston is that they no longer have a curse---that privilege now rests with the long-suffering cubs' fans

Yeah they got over the hump for sure, I was in school in Boston ( had the pleasure of living there as well) when Bill Buckner muffed the grounder sending the Mets to heaven. A cloud of death loomed over Kenmore Square that night. I sure do miss those pushcarts with Italian Sausages with grilled onions and peppers.

the first time i did the boston marathon, i bought a center field bleacher seat at fenway. i got goose bumps walking up the ramp and when i emerged and saw the field with the green monster to my right it truly was a mystical moment.

one of my few regrets involves not going to wrigleyville when i was in chicago for that marathon. it was when the cubs were in the playoffs in 2007 and had a home game the saturday before the marathon. my friend and i decided to go to the espnzone to watch texas/ou instead of jumping on the train and hanging outside wrigley. stupid, stupid, stupid---and to top it all off, ut lost the game.

people who don't understand that places like fenway and wrigley are so much more than ballparks, just don't get it at all.

No, the stress on the fabric of reality would be so strong that the universe would destroy itself before the series could be completed if the Cubbies were going to win.

Two years ago when the Cubs won the pennant, someone went out to the 'Burbs to find Bartman and interview him. I don't think he will be going anywhere near Wrigley ever again.

One of the best times I ever had in Chi-town was sitting on the rooftop bleachers. A friend of mine was going for a company thing, his wife couldn't/didn't want to go so I got to go. Those rooftops are WAY cool. There was a bar, huge window looking into the outfield, LCD TV's, and on the roof they even had a hot tub! Everything was catered. It was cold and rained that night but we beat the Padres!

If they ever talk seriously about tearing Wrigley down, you will see me on the news the next day chained to the front gate.

Oh yeah, it snowed yesterday.... (staying on topic)
