decent steaks and bbq can be had in dallas, but other cuisines, so called ethnic options are uniformly crap. austin is way better, houston marginally so.
if you want good food, head for the west coast.
but this thread isnt about food is it?

The lobster roll at TJ is Da Bomb!
Now there are 2 TJ location, we are talking about the one at NE corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane for those who are not familiar with TJ.
Also for Chinese, Royal China next door has the best handmade from scratch noodles and dumplings and baozi buns.
They make the noodles and dumplings and baozi buns right in front of the diners when you order it.

I think they use something called ice. Yes fresher is better but you can still get good seafood.
