They can scan the plates in the parking lot. They are in plain view after all. If there are outstanding warrants they can go to the office and see if the car is registerd and what room the driver is in. Then pick you up. They do it all the time, especialy at the low end notels. What manager in his right mind is going to piss of the cops by not providing the requested information?

Heck, they have the ability to scan plates parked on the streets as they drive by. Not sure of which departments actualy do that but is legal and they have the ablitly.

I mean what's next, going into a restaruant and the police run your tags and ask for every customers ID while your having a meal? That is so messed up. I know my local police will go down to the local homeless shelter and pick up homeless people that they know have warrants for an easy arrest, because apparently they have a quota since he said, he just made his quota of arrests for the month. I heard one officer say that once while he was in front of me at the grocery store.

Bonnie, You did the right thing by leaving if you did not feel good about the meet. Did you let the guy know you were leaving? Why do you feel he was involved? Do you really think a marked car is going to drive around just before they do a sting? The cops may not always do things right, but even they are not that stupid.

Garland loves to act like a bunch of hardasses - they think that their reputation prevents crime. They even pulled me over once for no reason when I drove past and gawked at some obvious hooker activity.
I had a legitimate reason to be in the area. I did manage to laugh at their suggestion that I didn't belong in the area - I'm probably on a list of known jackasses now.
Naturally, they ran my plates, checked my registration, checked my insurance, made me wait while they ran my license. I'm clean so the entertainment had to end eventually.
I love the police for the protection they provide. Some of them can be a tad overzealous, though.

I just want to mention that driving away with your lights off is much more conspicuous and likely to get you pulled over. Sober people going about their lawful business don't usually do that.

Well I enjoy what I do. But the fact of the matter is don't say I didn't tell you so if your proof comes back as a "book in". Anyways what's the point in posting a alert if you have simple minded people here to only trash what you seen and experience. If your not taking what posted seriously, maybe you have already been book in for something similar. Anyways I posted this in order to protect the providers. The rest of you guys can easily look away, and take the risk. FYI I am aware of the screening, I just got lazy. But I'm not perfect either... Or do you think I am? Whatever it doesn't matter to me I'm safe. Oh by the way to those who stated " I'm happy your safe" thanks... And also I never been the type to bash anyone. I never been a hatter, so kick rocks to those who stated that. And last thing why would anyone move my alert to coed... Hum that's kind of crazy.... I have seen a post on alerts with a person that didn't have proof and that post is still on alerts. Whatever I'm done... Enjoy fellow providers and please be safe.

Thats why you should post alerts/concerns in ladies only areas, not where the BOYS can read it. Powder Room or Infoshare.

If my post stated in words like you just stated that this guy was a LE. Please highlight it and post it. Now if your simple mind states that based off what you have read, then isn't that your opinion. Was you in the car with me um no. Was you? My point exactly... Sadly to say I'm very disappointed in your statement but you do have a freedom to speak. So speak...

Anyways this post was to inform and stay aware. FYI I will always stay on high alert.

Have a great and bless day.

bonnie.

1. [straight from the description of the alert forum]
"Issues which could endanger the safety of a member or members of our community go here. Please reserve this space for legitimate alerts, and not general FYI material."

2. from what i read, the alerts forum is not for situations where the cops are driving around the area one is in; it is not for someone who doesnt show up for an appt; it is not for non-safety issues.

OK. You didn't state the gent was LE. Perhaps I made that as an assumption. Then what, exactly, are you alterting us to? What information on this handle do you think you others need?

- You were contacted about an appointment.
- You didn't screen properly.
- You went to a call.
- You saw a cop.
- You left.

By the way...all of that is perfectly OK, if that's how you want to run your business. That's all your choice.

So, what the hell does the unscreened person you were going to see have to do with the situation? You have ZERO idea if the guy is safe, because you didn't bother to do your homework. You saw a guy with a lot of posts. You didn't contact any references. So why did you get in the car?!?!?!

Then, when you happen to see a marked police car, you leave, and somehow assume that the handle has somethign to do with it? Isn't that what you are saying in your original post? You want to share this handle so others won't also see cop cars?

If so, then that's just WRONG. It's shitty logic, and it's 100% not an "alert." It's more about you getting spooked. And while that happens, it's not alert-worthy.

No one wants you to be unsafe. But YOU made that choice when you didn't screen. Don't blame the hobbyist. If he provided you with references, and you didn't check, it's you that's to blame for your wasted time.

So, bad conjugation aside, please don't post alerts to "share handles" that have ZERO to do with your rather pedestrian event of "seeing a cop."

I know this logic is lost on you. You got scared, and you want to share.

Oh, and by all means post to Infoshare, which you have access to (all VP have Infoshare access) , and us gents won't challenge your logic. Because heaven forbid we could care about your health and safety, but not believe every "the sky is falling!" post from someone who saw a cop car.

Yes. That's true.

Also, 1+3 = 4, 8/2 =4, and 2*2 = 4. All are correct. All have differences.

The idea that cop car in plain sight = sting is not always true.

Notice I also said that it's perfectly OK to leave. THAT wasn't my issue. The idea that Bonnie wants to connect her seeing a cop car to trash someone's handle is ridiculous.
Though I agree with what you have stated, I am disappointed this was not included!!!
