Trees torn. On fence. Thoroughly enjoyed one (only) social but greatly value privacy bit concerned socials lead to interactions/communications that inevitably, exposes RW stuff, no?

Members who enjoy and attend, do run risk that another member makes some mention to a third party. Or worse, makes mention in an open thread. For example in days following (first-only) social Trees attended, another member posted this

"Hey trees, Homer wonders if we plan to party again this weekend," thus in unlikely event anyone was paying close attention or cared - - they would learn [some of] who attended, who "parties together" (or not) - - which in and of itself seems indiscrete.

Some of the statements that are made on these Boards (not this thread) are made by peeps who frankly - scare Trees: by comments they make about providers (particularly SW threads), comments that are designed to inflame or shock other members or the larger community. Some "members" have no reviews nor any other [apparent] reason for participation other than to goad and/or bait others (providers and other hobbyists). Fair to expect or assume that peeps who control those handles show-up for the socials? Even if there is only one of those peeps (or estranged spouse or poser-stalker with agenda) is that one too many?

Not trying to be alarmist, rather to share concern openly. Shoot it down if unjustified. Please.

Trees loves to party, to share and far more inclined to give than receive and am by nature sociable. Trees would enjoy attending buying some drinks for some awesome, helpful peeps - - yet somehow less risk to be just thankful for the invite and leave it at that?

There are always risks in the hobby. There are risks to having a session with a lovely lady. There are even risks to just posting on this board.
