Obstruction is responsible for promises not lived up to. IMO .

You neglected to mention that virtually everything that was obstructed needed to be obstructed!

Just look at what happened in 2009-2010 when there was not so much obstruction. We got a phony $860 billion "stimulus package" which did little to improve prospects for economic growth or to address serious infrastrucure needs of any type. It was nothing more than a collection of payoffs to favored constituencies.

Then we got a botched clusterfuck of a health care "reform" plan crammed through on a party-line vote. In fact, Democrats even had to compromise with themselves to muster enough votes! Now we have an expensive and confusing mess instead of a real reform plan that might have addressed the trajectory of health care cost increases.

In 2010, we got a "feelgood" financial reform plan (Dodd-Frank) which did little to address or mitigate the risks of another financial crisis.

Absent opposition, we would probably have gotten a botched mess of a cap-and-trade disguised middle class tax increase in 2011.

Given all that, I would have been happy to see a little more obstructionism!

You do have to give Perot some credit. As you said, he warned us that deficit spending would destroy us. It took twenty years. Now the wolf is at the door. We should have listened.

It would be kind of fun if Perot would emerge from private life just to say, I told you so!

It's becoming increasingly obvious that deficit spending and the debt are about to destroy us. There should be a "Don't blame me. I voted for Perot" bumper sticker!

I think more and more Perot voters will be starting to admit their support, because of the current debt nightmare.

You completely ignore the first two years of the Obama Administration, when the Democrats held both houses of Congress.

In order to make your case, you need to explain why Obama didn't do squat when he had the chance, when the Republicans COULDN'T STOP HIM.
