Jerry Jones selected as contributor finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame

As there is little doubt Jerky will be selected, I've begun to tell myself that selections of owners etc. are like participation awards.
An award for the clumsy kid who hung out with those who deserve awards. In my mind this is all Jerky is getting, a participation award.
Now, if they'd just house it appropriately, in one of those blue plastic buildings with the door that says either free or occupied I would absolutely happy for Jerkwad.

Guys, guys...settle down, k? Sports discussions (particularly "Football") can AND should be fun, inspirational, thought-provoking, etc...getting hot-under-the-collar accomplishes little if anything. Let's agree to leave the hyper-emotional comments to the ill-informed fanatics who enjoy spewing their venom over religion, politics and race, k?

However, we ARE talking about the Dallas Cowboys, right....and they (along with Jerry Jones) are easily one of the most polarizing subjects in all of sports......love 'em, hate 'em.....no matter, everyone seems to have a take.

And whether you love, hate or could care less about Jerry, I truly believe his entry into the HOF is inevitable. DMN writer Goose Gosslein will have to say little on JJ's behalf to the HOF committee to get him in. Aside his sorry record as a GM, his contributions to the growth of the NFL speaks for itself.

That said, I would much prefer to see Drew Pearson and Cliff Harris be admitted (before JJ goes in). If you're too young to comment or debate that topic, no problem. But those who actually watched the games know what I'm talking about per these two former greats.

I an not a fan of Jerry Jones but I need to say this

I was in Dallas when Jerry bought the team and my wife, now ex, was big in the Jr League
where Bum's son Clay was in the social group. He told me that it was his fathers responsibility to tell Laundry that he would not be the coach

It just did not happen for some reason

The way Dale Hanson tells it Bum was going to fire Landry but was afraid to do it due to the backlash of the firing. Jerry took care of it for Bum since he was new in town and had no relationship with Landry.
