At 60, if you can still get it up to play, and you have $2K extra per month, do what makes you happy. None of us live forever. However, leave yourself an out clause, like a one month notice to quit the arrangement should you want or need to quit for any reason. And $2K for 4 times a month? Maybe that is all you want, and if you are spending other time doing fun things together, maybe that time is counted, too. But, I am with some others, this sounds a bit high, especially if you are paying for her travel and food expenses when you go to SA. But, again, do what makes you happy, and it sounds like this is also a family friend that you are helping, and that, in itself, is worth a lot right there.
