The "Notice" thread is itself an example of how that particular rule was/is not being enforced and replete with "off-topic" exchanges between the mod and forum members, who, to my knowledge, weren't and are not being pointed as I was, i.e., "asymmetric" (per kehaar) enforcement.

It can. It’s been a guideline since the board was founded. I always issue a warning in the thread first, and if it doesn’t fix itself, sometimes I issue another, sometimes not. If after the warning, I see a hijack that is intentional and egregious, points can certainly be issued.

It's obvious your posts serve two purposes:

1) They let you duck any serious debate by claiming the other guy is off-topic.

I agree. I have tested the limits and got a few warnings and then a small points infraction to show me he is not playing. I have figured out the new "line" and am trying to stay on the good side of it.

I will say I have had a few debates on what the new rules are with him via PM's.
I agree there is a bit of gray area but at the end of the day it is his dick and he can wash it anyway he wants LOL
