Since most doctors are so "pro" Oromneybama care (and the same's true with insurance companies even though they stand to make millions in new premiums), why would anyone believe that information coming from them would be truthful? BTW, since the insurance lobby is asswhole deep in helping write and finish up the ACA, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't behind this sort of interpretation in order to limit their dollar volume of payouts by having the patient, in this case, pay three deductables. Since it's a government run socialist program, Medicare, it's kind of ironic that they would try to save your hard earned taxpayer money, eh? You know, that's how the saving money process works - somebody's gotta pay, and if it isn't the insuring entity then it's who, the doctor? Right.

I guess the moral to this story is, "Don't get old if you're not rich." That may be good advice from here on out but it has little to do with your acquaintence's current situation. So, this begs the question of what would you replace Oromneybama care with, if anything?

I have to have a medical procedue done about once a month.
When I first went the cost was less than 400 bucks.
After Obamacare the doctor had to raise the price to over 800 bucks to cover all of the regulatoryh requirements that wnet into effect.

The same procedure that I get done cost Medicare a little less than 3000 bucks because they will not allow them to use a less expensive drug that is just as effective.

The less expensive drug isn't made by Big Pharma, who we all know are staunch Democrats. Lobbyists suddenly appeared in 2008 and had never been heard of before. I wonder if Oromneybama care were to disappear tomorrow if those prices would go back down to the original level? You and I both know that they wouldn't. I also wonder if our friendly, neighborhood government is too concerned about private business being able to make a profit that they of the "nanny state" would blithly allow these additional costs? Weird, huh? I wonder what your situation would cost you in Massachusetts? My guess would be, "probably more," but it's a guess though mostly everything costs more there than here.
