I knew boltfan would show up to add a bitter comment instead of a solution,
as he always does on EVERY thread he posts on. and that is a FACT. lol

no outrage here. I used to live in Houston many years ago. I know how long they had flooding and how frequent. I also know that they have not done anything about it. With more rain expected, it will only get worse.

@ Motor, it is still rated as a tropical storm, not a hurricane. the water is standing water, no where to go. it is just sitting there, no storm water drainage system. I hope you don't think i have control over this hurricane. Over 1200 people were rescued because they would not leave. there were early warnings to evacuate.

25% of the state of Texas has been effected. 6.8 million people in 18 counties due to "tropical storm" Harvey.

You are one of the most amazingly petty individuals here. Way to use a natural disaster to go settle scores with petty posts. So you are there and doing nothing but bitching about politics. Get off your old fat ass and help then.

Why do you keep saying there are no storm drains in Houston? Just about every street has them.

I live there, for last 38 years. WTF do you know. Every neighborhood built in the last 60 plus years has storm sewers. The Heights has had them for longer than that ...

Is there an argument that storm drainage would even make a difference with that much water? Cmon.
Drain systems make a difference when rain is still in inches. When it goes to feet, flat bottom boats.

Houston will survive and prosper. I'm not so sure why it seems we are conditioned to think that the federal government is accountable for fixing it. Pic of Houston Flood 1935-36.

This is the most epic thread fail ever. Making a complete ass out of yourself with this one. Almost as good as when you stab providers in the back with false accusations them PM then that it isn't really true, you just don't like them.
I will take 3 sides taint posts and his knowledge of Houston over your blather any day.
And again, are you actually doing anything yourself or are you sitting on your fat ass whining while fellow humans deal with tragedy.
