For the best food and most eclectic dining experience....the Bishop Arts District wins hands down....(less than 10 minute cab ride)

The Design District is nice as well. Check out OAK. Went there Thursday night.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the input. As I said above, the choice was Fearing's, and it was excellent. I rarely get to Dallas, but I'll have to look for an opportunity to come back and sample some of the other suggestions - not too mention some of the city's other delights!
