Well, I find it hard to gauge exactly where KH is on the leftometer because she insists everything is up for ' discussion' rather then stating where she is on the issues.
Hard line law and order tends to be a more right wing stance and she seems to have reflected that in her career as a prosecuting attorney.
I may seriously consider a Democrat that was generally middle of the road if they support decrim. I don't think anyone in the Dem power structure seriously believes that someone as far left as Bernie or Alex could get elected.
Personally, I'm more of an independent rather then a party loyalist.

She's afraid to commit to the issues thats why everything is up for discussion. It's an open ended statement which never puts the ball in her court. She would crash and burn in a presidential debate. In my opinion all the Democrat Candidates are weak. Bernie is probably the only one that will go toe to toe with Trump but Bernie doesn't have a strong stance on the important issues either. He's just trying to sell Socialism and I think voters are tired of hearing his song and dance on that bullshit anyway.

Joey, Again, if you want decriminalized prostitution, you need to look to the elected officials of Missouri and Kansas City. That's where the issue would be decided.
Kamala Harris is not a good choice given your criteria. While attorney general, she crusaded to shut down Backpage and AMP's, and later as a Senator she was a strong supporter of FOSTA. I don't remember whether FOSTA can enable prosecutors to jail people like you and me who have written reviews, but I know it would enable them to shut down this website and jail some of the people associated with it, for exercising their right to free speech. She has attempted to spread the stigma of trafficking and underage prostitution to all forms of sex work.
This may be of interest, about Kamala Harris and sexworkers,

Plus, there is no such thing as a middle of the road Democrat.
They are all DBD......”Dirt Bag Democrats”. Period.

All good points. I don't think KC and MO would be good starting places because of the bible belt morality that is still strong here.
The catch-22 that we are in is that those open to decrim tend to be left wing socialists and (relatively) free market economy folks tend to be on the right and cozy with the religious moralizers.
As a party, the Libertarians are the only ones that want the gummint out of the boardrooms AND out of the bedroom.
Best bet may be as in how things have played out with Merry Wanna, get a few states to decrim and see if others follow. Unfortunately, states like Washington and Oregon who are open to legal pot are also firmly under the spell of hard core feminists who view prostitution as another tentacle of the patriarchy.
One possibility is that now that KH and Tulsi Gabbard have raised the issue, someone such as a senatorial candidate in someplace like Colorado may make it a running point.

In KCMO, most people running for office are democrats hiding under a non-partisan smoke screen. It seems that anyone who would support legalization or decriminalization is afraid to make that position public. You would also need a majority of the city council and probably the county leaders.

Decriminalization would be nice.
Legalization? I am skeptical. It sounds good, but the reality might not be what you think.
States will be like.."Hey! We can make sure all the sex workers have licenses! Hooray!!!" SW's will pay a hefty application fee and provide all their personal information. Like most licensed vocations there will be mandatory trainings like how to avoid STD's, ethics and how to xyz. Obviously there will be a fees for the trainings. Licensees would be forced to be registered and lose their privacy. Yearly licensing fees will be applied and maybe every so many years some more education. Throw in a CPR class....you know, just in case someone almost dies while doing it. And just like a massage therapist have to get malpractice insurance. You, as the client will have to fill out a waiver.
If someone is working without a license they will be fined and unable to apply again, caught twice then some jail time. The poorer women would find it difficult to pay for the license and in the end get arrested for working without one. The others who are studying for or maintaining their rw licenses will raise there fees.
I came up with this because I did a search on becoming a sex worker in Australia. As I expected there are licenses to be applied for and money to be paid. It is very expensive too, but I think the fees are for running an agency or a brothel.

LovingCamela. Sounds like you've worked in healthcare. Some states are even requiring people to get licensed as a CNA to take care of their own family.
Hong Kong seems pretty laissez-faire about it. Not sure what the exact laws are .
A prosecutor such as Kamala Harris would probably advocate a heavily bureaucratic system such as you describe.

I think this would be a state issue and not a federal issue. I doubt the POTUS would have any say in this matter. Besides that she is a stupid fucking cunt that has zero chance of living in the WH. The bitch is lucky they let her visit.

lol the only reason Biden has shot up in the polls is because Harris and O'Dork and Warren have already tanked big time. O'Dork and Booker had to "reset" their campaigns .. just months into the fray. and there is Bernie, who the DNC desperately wants to get rid of asap!
so .. who is gonna pull a Marco Rubio when the debates start? who's gonna be Chris Christie and trip up someone into jabbering like a parrot?
Trump is Hitler! Trump is Hitler!
yeah ... that's gonna be funnier than a Monty Python skit!
BHAHAHAHAHAAAA

A media present presidential candidate bringing up the issue can lead to discussion at the state level. Colorado may be a good starting place for a spread of nookie rental decrim.
As for state rights, that was kind of superseded in 1865.
Regarding your personal assessment of Kamalas personality and chance of actually winning, you remind me a great deal of the response that many had when Trump announced his candidacy.

Generally, if a lady has a phat ass to fall on I have space on my face. Whatever one thinks of her politics, Ms. Harris certainly fills out a suit skirt quite nicely.
As for Michelle, she's set for life.
Oprah might do it for her ego. Trump v. Winfrey would at least be more entertaining then sleepy Joe.
