For the record I don't favor a list because it will likely just cause drama.
I do favor encouraging the ladies to respond to all "proper" requests for an appointment and to certainly call you if they can't show for the date! There is no excuse, in my opinion, for not sending an email response to a request for an appointment. Even if she just doesn't like his vibe and turns down the request. It allows him to move on and for her to demonstrate a class act.
There are, without a doubt, many reasons that a timely phone call
can not be made to notify a client that they will be a no show. There is, however, no reason a later call or followup email with a simple "I'm sorry" couldn't be done.
I'm very new to the hobby and have sent out 7 very discreet and "proper" requests for an appointment. Out of the 7 - two resulted in great experiences, one responded with a "no thank you" and 4 411 class providers didn't bother to respond, even though their ad said "newbie friendly". That's about 57% not responding! Not so good and I hope it's not the norm.
In my business life I receive many customer emails every day, some are plain stupid, but I answer ALL except the ones that call my ancestry into question. By the way I am also a one person business that wears all the hats.
Sorry for the long post - guess it just hit a nerve.
