The sleep number bed has to be pumped up monthly. But all you do is hit a button. I like a hard surface and the SO likes it softer so the SN is perfect for us.

Ditto on the Sleep Number bed. I love mine. Had it for years. Really great for my bad back.

Great for sleeping, but absolute WORST for playing, is a memory foam mattress (eg. Tempurpedic).

I like the temperpedic type mattress, although after eight hours of so it's almost too firm. The "sleep number" adjustable might be interesting.

Default Interesting Thread

I currently have a Serta Queen Pillow Top, bought it at sears for 1800.00 4-years ago and been thinking about upgrading to a better mattress. I stopped into a few stores to check out the New CLOUD Luxe that i been hearing good things about. It's a Tempur-Pedic and for Queen = 3500 and it's Memory Foam, so i did some research and came across this site that did a comparison Tempflow vs Tempur-Pedic

http://www.tempflow.com/tempurpedic_...comparison.htm

They talk about things like fire resistant, Ventalation and keeping the body cooler after a long sleep, was used in NASA Space but, not sure if either one is good for the hobby in reguards to firmness or tracksion. if anyone ownes one of these, please post your comments. I also wondered what mattress the casino in shreveport uses since i think that mattress was perfect at the horseshoe. i need to check that tag out next time i am over there.

I used go have a tempurpedic. Terrible for sex. You kind of bog down into a hole and it's hard to move around at all. Really great for sleeping though. Supports everything evenly.

i may be the last holdout on the waterbed scene. mine is about 12 years old and i love it. it's a reduced motion mattress, one bounce/wave and you're done. every few months i thinki i should get me a real matttress (certa prefect sleeper is one i have tried out and really like) but i just can't give up the super comfort of my waterbed? it rocks!

a young girl i work with makes fun of me about me waterbed. she tells me she will get me some hippie beads to hang up at my office door.
