Under Romney there is room for both. Lincoln for the greatness he was to America and Churchill representing the special arrangement between England and america. These two countries need to hang together in this very dangerous world.
Under Obama there isn't room for England at all as they were racist imperialistic pigs who jailed his father, except that was a lie in obama's book. Lincoln holds a very tenuous position also. He only made the grade as the time isn't quite ripe for the grinding up of all racist whites, as Lincoln was. his stature hasn't yet quite been fully destroyed by revisionists, appliers of this century's standards to two century ago's realities, and the academe, although obama's waiting with an eagerness born of disregard, hate and a large dose of it's our turn now-ism.

Apparently you didn't hear the news. There is a Churchill bust in the WH. Always has been.
Punked again by your own right wing blogs.

Where did I say one thing about a bust of Churchill? Reading isn't a long suit, eh?
But there probably isn't a bust of Churchill near obama, although granted I haven't been to the white house lately.
My post was more toward the philosophical underpinnings of the men.

By today's standards Lincoln would be considered extremely racist. He publicly stated that he didn't believe that blacks were equal to whites.
Abraham Lincoln Quote
“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.”

Oh please. This is a thread about Churchill's bust. I think it's a crock of shit to suggest your comment wasn't related to it supposedly being removed. But even if it wasn't, my having taken it that way was a perfectly understandable interpretation.

The thread is entitled Romney likes Churchill better than Abraham Lincoln. Where jeep got the idea Romney does like Churchill better who knows. It most likely isn't factual.
I, myself, saw Obama on tv( i think it was tv, been a while) some time ago showing churchill's bust in defense of some flak he had been getting about it.
Maybe he had someone dig it up for that purpose, who knows. So I knew about the picture you posted, which post I have only just now looked at.
Additionally, I don't read anyone's blog in any way that would yield any to consider me a blog reader. Can't name one. Probably the closest I get to that is if I remember, whenever I might go to drudge, to click on Ann Coulter. She's smart, insightful, funny and skewers the idiocies and reveals the hate of the left. Ive maybe done that a half dozen times in my life. Now I have recently discovered the wonderment of Michelle Fields, I will definitely have to investigate her, she mesmerizes me.
One should always learn from assumptions and misreadings that backfire. If you ever go to court, it will help you sharpen your testimony.

Lets face it, it is a bullshit title for a thread. No proof was offered. Someone just wanted to spill their guts. There was a bust of Winston Churchill in the Oval Office. It was bronze and it was returned to the British government which loaned it to George Bush. There was another bust that was moved to another part of the White House. So you could say that both statements are true not that Doove would notice. He believes what he wants to believe. So Romney is 100% correct. There is NO bust of Churchill in the Oval Office.

The statement that a bust was returned is true. The underlying meaning behind that which the right wing nut brigade would like us to believe is not.

So all along you knew the bust in question by some was returned, yet you attacked me with a misleading post? What sort are you? Shameless and merely expedient? come to think of it you did to me exactly the shameful sham Obama did to the American people concerning the bust, dealing half truths, cover-ups, guile and stealth. Be above board, man, it will speak better of you.

The half truth here is ignoring the fact that there's another bust still in the WH. But you knew that.

White House Busted!!
by Keith Koffler on July 28, 2012, 12:38 pm
The White House incorrectly claimed that a bust of Winston Churchill was not removed from the White House when President Obama moved in, insisting with emphatic certainty that it had simply been moved to the residence but then retracting the assertion.
In a “Fact Check” post added to the White House website Friday, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer scornfully dismissed as “100% false” the “rumor” that Obama had removed the Churchill bust that had presided over the George W. Bush Oval Office and shipped it back to the British.
Turns out Pfeiffer’s was the false statement.
As originally stated by those wild rumormongers, the bust is in possession of the British, at their ambassador’s residence in Washington, presumably awaiting return to the Oval Office should Mitt Romney become president.

Just once, I'd like to see a politician that gets caught lying, to just admit he was lying. It doesn't do them any good to play games about context and parsing words. Everyones knows they were lying.

Your comments wrt. to Hitler are outrageous.
It is not worth correcting all your factual errors, but Churchill was prime minister and led his party until the end of the war, and his party was voted out in 1945, not 1944.
I'm glad you made these elementary mistakes, as it shows your contemptible views are the product of an evil distorted mind.
What I can't figure is how you can be so admiring of the Israeli armed forces, yet admire Hitler who murdered so many of those same people.
|
Boy how could you be so dead wrong on so many facts and still have the gall to debate me on anything.
Churchill was turned out of office while the war was still going on.
Who was the British Prime Minister when the Germans surrendered? It wasn't Churchill.
Why did Churchill's party lose the elections? Look it up.
If you knew anything about the IDF you would know that it's influenced very heavily by the German Wehrmacht. Furthermore if you understood Israeli politics and society you would understand that the Israeli right, today embodied in the Likud party, considers themselves to be the ideological equivalent of the German national socialists. They actually admire the Nazis, and consider that all of Palestine should belong to them alone just as the Nazis believed all of Germany should be only for the Germans. The Likud is the dominant party is Israel, and has been since the mid-1970s.
