I agree. If it were me, I would take it to a range and get a professional cleaning and fire off around 10 rounds just to make sure, then clean it up again and lube it up.

I had a new hybrid AR blow up the chamber, magazine, and magazine well one time. I sold the AR to a dealer at a gun show in the same condition I left the range with, and bought a new Smith and Wesson AR15, which has operated flawlessly and can make a nice pattern at 25 yards at an indoor range. So I tend to be even more careful than the range masters expect us to be.

I’m confused. What is the correlation between accuracy, and caution at the shooting range?

I put one sentence in front of the other and posted it. Then when I noticed it, the one hour edit time had passed and I couldn't put it in context. Most decent people wouldn't have said anything, just understood that shit happens and moved on.

Honestly, I thought I might have been missing something in your comments, but hey, if you wanna get that overly sensitive and take shots at me for constructively contributing to a thread you started, go fuck yourself. LOL

Actually I was having a really good night. My sig other had blood sugar at almost 400, and we were able to get it down to 100 and she was OK and sound asleep without a hospital trip. I had my golden retriever puppy sleeping soundly at my feet under the desk. I was trying to make a suggestion or two to an eccie member (man or woman didn't matter) about something that person could at least think about or even google.

I've had an AR have a catastrophic failure on me at the range, so I know how it feels. A picture was posted of a weapon in questionable condition and my suggestion was to have it professionally cleaned and have the cleaner fire a few shells to make sure the weapon was safe. Nothing more.

As Captain Steele said, we're done here.

I personally don’t like guns. I believe they embolden people and give them a false sense of bravado. My biggest gun is my brain. With a gun you stay in a situation longer than you should. The second biggest gun is to control your ego. Just leave or simply stop talking. Defuse the situation. Think. If you are a human and you kill somebody in self defense and you are not the devil you will never have any peace. You’ll be haunted for life. I had a gun at 20. Lost it. Never bought another one and have survived until now because my big gun is always with me.

You may want to hide under your bed.
Guns are for grown ups.
I keep my 38 nice and clean.

I love revolvers, particularly my .22, which has exclusively seen action at the shooting range, much to my satisfaction.

I’m learning that it’s no way to have a conversation here without insults. I’m an adult and I joined here to be around adults who can have a conversation and agree to disagree. I wasn’t raised around guns I don’t like them. Gone around pretty precarious places and didn’t have to have a gun because like I said without one I engage my brain more
