Providers have every right to request whatever info they want to satisfy their safety concerns. There are clearly enough paying customers that are willing to provide RWI for those providers to continue requiring it. Most hobbyists I know would not provide it, but long-time horn dogs may not be their target market.

What a contemptuous thing to say! Interesting. I refuse to believe any client is so naive that they can’t understand why it’s probably a bad idea to meet with total strangers that a) seem to have a very low opinion of us b) seem unfamiliar with common screening practices & c) don’t want us to know who they are. We spend time & money on ads, websites, plus get verified on sites with our IDs. Are we really pretending like screening is the same as an escort outing herself to randos? Are you not also a criminal for buying the services?

Why are people mad about something they can very easily avoid? Seems like an excuse to talk down to providers & flex some sense of power — bragging that you would never do this or that. Does it prove that you aren’t a slave to pussy?Hmm. Maybe we all are. :P No matter how much people complain (or spread legal misinformation) there are clearly many clients that screen this way. It would be less annoying if any of them practiced actual opsec instead of this jumping through hoops, security blanket shit. You think using a fake number and "code" and whatever would stop them from convicting you? Or keep someone from finding out who you are? There are so many weird myths about LE it's kind of insane. People still ask "Are you a cop?" like the world is a fucking cartoon and they're going to go "Beat it, boys. We've been made!" and disappear in cloud of dust.

In other worlds nobody is asking to see your ID or whatever because they already know better, and you should know better too. You get personally vouched in by someone trusted, or you don't play the game. If anything this sort of shit just gives LE an in to fuck with you because the system is so easy to circumvent. I wonder who would be able to fake an ID, a job, and references without any fear of repercussions if they chose to? That is like literally all undercovers do. Honestly, it should be more suspicious that some dude is super willing to give you an orgy of evidence against him.

Hell, the cops could just roll up into any of the obvious traps they wanted to, guns blazing, and shut the entire thing down. I have seen girls who literally respond to every text with price, location, text me when you get here, and not once, in years, did a cop ever show up and bust them, which is honestly fucking sad if you understand what is going on.

The reality is cops don't care about 99% of people doing illegal shit, and they're doing the shit too anyway. It's not worth the time, money, or effort to pop misdemeanors. If you're not hurting people, stealing shit, dealing, or "managing" girls, they don't care. They have way bigger, more evil, sick fuck fish to deal with than most of yall even have any concept of. And besides that, if you're in an "agency" with a "manager" the cops probably already know who you are. People who are successful in pandering a roster of women across state lines tend to be sensible enough to cover their ass, because an "employee" getting popped can come back on them, and they could actually be worth trying to arrest.

And don't think I'm just ripping on girls, because John's do just as much senseless shit too. If anything, John's need to be even more careful. Believe it or not, LEs overall attitude/policy towards escorts is sympathetic. They are way more interested in getting girls out and turning them into a witness than they are with throwing them in jail. Catching John's on the other hand and throwing the book at them is considered popular and moral. The perception is "hobbyists" are losers who take advantage of women in desperate situations all for lust. It's not exactly a prestigious position; it's not as bad as being a "manager", but it's still very scummy. Nobody cares if a "hobbyist" gets in trouble, and if anything they cheer it on. And from LE's perspective, practically, it's very difficult to go after the supply and much easier to attack the demand. So they are more than happy to bend you over and drill you as a lesson and a warning.

I never see agency chicks. Or anyone else with a "manager". If the ad isn't obvious in the first place, it's usually pretty easy to see the signs once you're there. So no worries.

SEX WORK in general isn’t naturally safe but I haven’t had any issues since I learned about screening and how to do it well. The people I meet are respectful, generous and awesome human beings and I’m forever grateful to attract these type of humans BUT I’d be lying if I said EVERYONE is great but that’s just life and so is this!…YES some ask for references, ID ect ect…if you don’t agree just move on instead of throwing a tantrum and slandering someone business.

OK this thread has really gone off the rails. I posted this to see if anyone has had any issues with this supposed "Brazilian" ad that comes up time and again on Eros, and the reason is that I was blackmailed by someone, and they found my SO's social media and sent me a picture, and demanding I send them money or they would spill the beans. They did end up contacting my SO through text (have no idea how they got her cell), and told her I was cheating on her. They then texted me and said send money via cashapp and they would tell her they were making it up. The only entity I gave RWI to was to this person from the ad on Eros, and I felt really shitty after doing it. Again, has anyone seen any of these Brazilian girls? The first thing they respond with after inquiring about the provider is a standard message asking for a photo of a driver's license, a workplace badge or business card, and a selfie of you holding this. It seems that would be a lot of evidence to have for this type of scam. And I'm not interested in hearing responses about how you would never fall for this, I'm only interested if you had an similar experience after contacting these people because I want to know if this was the source. I screen my clients n think that it’s extremely important too. I accept provider references, but unfortunately, sometimes other providers don’t respond. I also ask for ID, RWI, Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn. I obviously don’t comment to like any of their posts, I just look through the page, comments, etc. if a gent doesn’t wanna give any of that info then I won’t see them. My safety comes first!

OP, I’m sorry you fell for a scam. The best way to stay safe when looking for a provider is to look for active verified ads, social media, websites, reviews, etc. but yes as many people have said now, that is a normal way to screen & doesn’t mean anyone is trying to blackmail you. Best of luck
