Ok
You asked if good grammar matters. Yes it does. However it's not anything I really have to get over. I've been here for 10 years. I'm used to it.

I'm glad to see that you are working your way through college and have plans for a successful future after college...kinda my point. If you want to write in a lazy style that is your choice. It's obvious you know how to spell, but a lot of the other young ladies do not. I think they need to work and learn to communicate intelligently for their future after providing.

Hobbyist was not directed at you. It's just one of the most misspelled words on the site. I figure if people are going to do this, they should know how to spell it.

Also my generalization of perception was not specifically directed at you. I said I meant no disrespect and that my reply was in general. You ladies are in a business and there is a perception of professionalism in the way you communicate.

I have never and will never attack a provider personally. I apologize that my post came across to you as being an attack. I did not mean it that way.

So chill and peace. :-)

As a writing contest winner, you obviously are familiar with the subjunctive.

Borrowed from wiki...."
A form of the subjunctive, called the future subjunctive, is used in if clauses of doubtful possibility with future reference; regardless of person and number, it uses the form "if I were to go"."

Entire page here.....

Reread cookie man's first sentence, first word and then apologize for your attack on him.
I
, however have a problem with those who don't seem to know or care that "I" is a proper pronoun REQUIRING capitalization.

c.a.

p.s French, German, Spanish, misspelling, misspelled, you, I've, don't, and who's. Not a bad average for about eight sentences.

I suspect there are a few things you may not understand about our attitude (although I suppose I should be careful about extrapolating my attitude to others who are bothered by improper spelling, punctuation, and grammar).

First,

the poor spelling, punctuation, and grammar may be the only indications we have concerning whether a lady is intelligent and a good conversationalist. We haven't had a conversation with you or heard from anyone who has. You may know that you're highly intelligent, but how would we, if all we have to go by are your posts here? It would be nice if no one judged you before they spent more time with you, but it's unrealistic, both here and in the real world.

Second, some clients do indeed want and value more than big tits, no gag reflex, and a pretty face when they are selecting ladies to see. Not all clients. Maybe not most clients. But certainly many.

Third, most of those clients who want and value more do not reply to those posts to publicly criticize [*] those ladies. We may comment when a thread is started about this particular topic, but for the most part when we see very poor spelling, punctuation, and grammar we say nothing. (It's primarily other guys, who may not even care that much about spelling and grammar but enjoy being gratuitously cruel.) But we are less likely to schedule.

------------
[*] The whole bugaboo about split infinitives is blown out of proportion. It has never been a strict rule other than in the cramped imagination of poor English teachers, rather than true grammarians. Often a split infinitive is the most effective way to write. See, for example, Star Trek.

Ok this is not an attack. It's just an opinion.

What I suggest you need to do is grow up. If you are going to post a thread asking for opinions, be prepared for people to disagree with you.
You're taking it too personally. Attacking and insulting the other person is not the mature way to handle discussions.

Since you're not going to post again on your thread, I'll just say sayanora baby. :-)

editing...
Also if you are saying the only way we can get laid by hot college girls is to pay for it...well you are exactly correct ;-)

Nice post cookie man, leveled my head and cooled me off.
I no longer feel the need to directly respond to her, other than the cute little pissed-off smiley face of course...there's always room for a smiley face.

I will add that I don't like when people use a bunch of text message shortcuts. A few are ok, like lol, OMG, and others. But when most of the post looks like two 12 year olds texting each other, it is annoying.
I think Mark Twain or was it Sammuel Clemens who said something to the effect of I pitty the man/person who can only spell a word one way.

My question is "If you can write, type, and spell properly, why not do it here, too?" I don't think people expect you to go to the trouble of multiple drafts and polishing text line by line like a college paper, but standard punctuation and capitalization are just as easy to type as improper usage.

Wow... ask for opinions and then flame those who express them. This girl is ready for marriage.

O&O on this one,

Chainsaw, please do not take this personally, but you have hit on one of my pet peeves. As a person who lives and works in academia, I must say that I really wish everyone would stop quoting Wikipedia when trying to validate information, especially technical information within a discipline.

While Wikipedia has its uses to be sure (biographies, perfunctory glosses, etc.), one ought never reference it for technical clarifications in any field. Some articles are indeed accurate and written by a specialist in the field, but many are not. For all we know, some high school drop out in Montana may have written the article we choose to reference for technical info. The way the site is set up, there’s really no way for a researcher to discern the difference. Wikipedia is looked upon with great disdain within the scholarly community, and as it stands now, for good cause.

To the original poster . . .

While I do value education and am disappointed in the product of the American public school systems in general, I certainly do not believe that a person’s worth stands in direct proportional relationship to his or her education or lack thereof. I’ve met my share of highly educated douchbags as well as many kind, loving souls who were not afforded the opportunity for an education.

When it comes to this site in particular, I’ll take big tits and no gag reflex any day over proper grammar and syntax. I am much more interested in a provider’s ability to copulate than to conjugate

You're correct and believe it or not, I thought about that after the fact. Wiki is so much faster and usually correct. I should have gone to Grammar Girl who says basically the same thing regarding the subjunctive.

If I were in charge, I would declare every Friday a holiday.

If he were nicer, I wouldn't hate him so much.

If the ladder were taller, we could reach the cat.

All those sentences use the verb "were" because they aren't true. I was just talking about things I wish would happen or talking about what would happen if things were different from what they actually are. I can't declare every Friday a holiday, he will never be nicer, and the ladder will never be taller. Also notice how in each of those sentences, the part that follows the subjunctive verb contains a word such as "would" or "could." I would declare a holiday. We could reach the cat. Those wishful words are also a clue that you might need the subjunctive mood.

Wiki notwithstanding . . . Without arguing either the nuances or the implications of the future subjunctive and whether or not the opening phrase of Cookie man’s initial post actually falls into this category, I do believe that if I were the provider I would have also been offended by the statement

“If you want to be perceived as more than an illiterate young lady with big tits and no gag reflex . . .”

While it may have a broad scope of appeal, it was also certainly targeted at her.

On the other hand, I do not necessarily fault Cookie man, for if you choose to post a question like she did, you cannot allow yourself to get upset when you get honest responses which are not particularly to your liking. Don’t ask if you don’t wanna know . . . (a famous phrase from the movie “A Few Good Men” comes to mind here).

Regardless, I stand by my preference of copulation over conjugation when it comes to my relationship with women on this site. When I’m letting one go in her mouth, I really couldn’t care less if she can even spell CIM!
