Went to Wal-mart today. Two shelving units empty of ammunition except a few boxes of .410 shells. Signs says they reserve the right to limit ammo. Only guns they had were womens and kids rifles.

I never said why so don't try to put words in my mouth Timmy. I never said why or offered an opinion on why. Others have cited that it is true so I don't have to. Now, do you have a good citation about this being part of automation and not something else? Timing seems kind of odd to me.
I also went by both Cabelas and Walmart looking for .22 magnum and both were out. There were only 12 boxes of anything on the shelf at Walmart and Cabelas had big holes in ammo and reloading supplies.

Guess I missed the sarcasm tag.
This too, last paragraph.

"He also attributed the cutbacks to “recent drawdowns in military actions.”

I did not overlook the last paragraph sir, especially since we both quoted the EXACT same source/article. It is the modernization, not the drawdown which has produced the greater push for less people in the factory thereby resulting in the subsequent layoff requests. Much like the automobile industry where robotics have played a key role in reducing the number of people required to build the car you and I and many others drive on a daily basis. Albeit, the drawdowns may trigger a very very very small cutback in production.

I'm so excited this entire conversation doesn't apply to me. I'll never let a government take what's mine and I can find those rounds in plenty. PM me if you want in.
