As far as canceling and getting ghosted, yes, that has happened to me plenty of times. On a few occasions, I have driven multiple hours, booked a hotel room, only to wait in the room for her to get off or finish doing whatever she was doing, and then not show up. So I’ve wasted a whole day, gas in my vehicle, hundreds of miles on my vehicle, the price of the hotel room all for nothing. Sounds like all you were out was having to take another shower. Not a big deal.
Think of it this way, at least you saved the price of the donation, it would be a different deal if you had paid her upfront first. (Which of course we never do). Sorry this happened to you with this particular woman, but just put her on your no see list and move onto the next one.

But if you want just a little extra peace of mind, ask her to text you pictures of her friend and her baby at the hospital. Although the pics may not be real, lol.
