I wish I could say I'm shocked at how rude this comment is, but seeing who is posting it unfortunately I am not shocked at all.
I understand making a smart comment now then, but some of you are just plain rude as fuck & mean.
It's sad that y'all get some type of sick amusement out of trying knock down the self-esteem of others.
Lexxxy,
I'm happy to hear Lucy is doing better.

Bear this in mind hooker, this was a legitimate question posed about the effectiveness of an EpiPen on people that are obese, fat, overweight, whatever.
I don't know how big her thighs are.
I posed a real question and if anybody can answer it I would be grateful.
Thank you hooker for your kind words.

edit PK- image violation
My gf Lucy isn't very fat, she technically isn't even a bbw so I call her an athletic bbw. She's almost 5'8 and 200 pounds. Between roller derby and kick boxing her legs are pretty muscular. She is a very solid strong girl. In fact her epipen worked too well. She went from neon red and pink to corpse white and shaking. She literally looked like a dead person if you've ever seen one in person. It scared the shit out of me. She even felt colder than usual (she's always cold).
P.s. I've also never had to buy another seat on an airplane. I was just in Las Vegas and VA.

Scientist, not a medical doctor. But as I understand it the jury is out on length of needle for obese people (like me). The issue is that muscle is more efficient for taking in the active ingredient in an epi pen (epinephrine - hence the name). But like in most things the devil is in the detail, and that remains a ???. sorry, best I can do at the moment.
It is, I understand, a weak answer to a fair question.

What I can add, from personal experience, is that my diabetes medication (insulin derivative) injection involves a shorter (1/4") needle than an epipen, It is also intended for injection into muscle, and my diabetes is controlled, to the delight of my fussy GP. In general fatty tissue is outside muscle tissue and that is why a longer needle might be preferred for an epipen for the overweight.

Hpoe all is well for both of you !!! I know several people with the same condition, and it is scary if you are alone. Good thing you were around to assist her.

This whole thing sounds more and more like a ridiculous rouse than an actual medical emergency. More likely, the two didn't receive enough pre-books to make it worth their while, and instead of just saying that, they cooked this up to create some drama, and perhaps get them some sympathy bookings.
Just a thought.
