How does that have anything to do with Medicaid EXPANSION?
Medicaid is a state program based on state funding over federal funding.
The SCOTUS will be addressing that aspect of the ADA shortly .... i.e.
.. .can the Federal Government demand the states increase coverage without providing the funds to the states to do so ....
Texas doesn't need it, because Texas has been providing sufficient coverage.
In addition, Texas has required certain private carriers to provide coverage in a variety of policies with lower monthly premiums as "the price" for doing business in Texas.
"cite" ... how about "site" ... Texas Insurance Commission ... aka ..
I realize you would rather base your "opinions" on "public opinion" rather than on government websites with legal documents on them, because it fits your whining more .. not to mention your bullshit.
Each time you post it becomes clearer why you voted for and support Obaminable.
You guys are two peas from the same pod. Bullshitters.
You said one thing and now you're backpedaling for a change,
No, it just sounds like it when someone is trying to intelligently answer your loaded, lame-ass, WTF-style questions. And then when someone doesn't answer it the way you want then you start the name-calling and accusation about "back-peddling" and what ever else you can blow out your ass.
If I recall correctly, Texas opted not to have an "Obamacare Website" ...
.. for as long as the internet has been around, plus a year or so to get it up and running, Texas has had access online to insurance options from carriers who are allowed to sell insurance in the State ... which is a shit load of them ... .and the Texas Insurance Commission aka Department of Insurance monitors their activities and the quality of their coverage to meet certain standards .... with that process has been the offering of variable premiums dependent on copays, coverage, and deductibles.
Texas was smart enough NOT to get sucked into the Obamacare Medicaid expansion scam.......feds pick up the bill for a few years; medicaid enrollments explode then the individual states are on the line for 100% of the cost when the feds cut and run.
Arkansas is wishing they hand't got sucked in.......
As the Forbes article describes, the General Accounting Office determined that HHS lied about the true underlying costs, Arkansas signed up, and now they have to pay the piper. An estimated $20 million per year hit to the taxpayers in Arkansas, then exponentially higher as federal support declines.

Again, you've been Gruberized to the marrow.
Hey idiot. That's not what you said or what I responded to.
Nobody's disputing that Texas opted out of a state healthcare exchange.
I can tell you that Texas citizens were historically fucked by the options available to them, especially self-employed business owners.
But that's not the point here.
How about -- How long has the internet been around? Please explain the evolution of the Texas Insurance commission's online presence. We should have known about this if it's been around and rockin' since ".. for as long as the internet has been around"
What is "working" again? Oh yeah, an overwhelming number of people signed up for free shit that the rest of us can't afford.
In other words......Private Option in Arkansas is based on a lie, was put in place by a Democrat who was told it wouldn't work, isn't working now, will bankrupt taxpayers, and it will have to be structurally reformed. The current governor is being responsible and continuing the program, but has promised reforms.
Have no doubt; structural reforms to Private Option is coming.
There is no end to the foolish, irresponsible behavior of liberal think and what you consider a success.
The Arkansas state legislature voted to continue with the program. Low income adults are getting health insurance that they previously did not have. The success is MORE people are INSURED. From the link by the Washington Post.
After months of silence, Hutchinson provided a clear message — the state must keep the private option, though he will look for cost-saving reforms that gives Arkansas policymakers more flexibility to administer the program. From a political standpoint, the important thing Thursday was Hutchinson's tone. He spoke candidly about the benefits of the private option — more people covered, a financial gain for the state's hospitals — and his concerns, namely how the state will afford the program when the 100 percent federal match eventually drops to 90 percent in a few years. Also notable was his insistence that the state just can't just drop coverage for those who've gained it, and that the state's health-care industry can't tolerate ongoing uncertainty, year-to-year, whether coverage will be continued. Hutchinson called for a two-year extension of the private option in its current form, as a new task force will consider possible changes to the program.

Whirly, your post is a big lie. The Federal Government does NOT cut and run. The federal government picks 100% of the cost for expanded Medicaid the first few years and then 90% afterwards. That means the state only has to pick 10% of the costs. The state will never have to pick up more than 10% of the cost of expanded Medicaid.
You are trying to make a bid deal about HHS missing an estimate by $50- $55 per month per person.
The costs do not go up exponentially. The state will only have to pay 10% of the costs. Do you even know what an exponential curve looks like? Still have problems with graphs. Go take Algebra 1 at your local community college. You could use some of that free community college education that Obama was proposing.

We won't know the full impact of the ACA for a few years to come. Whether it be good or bad. At this time whatever you guys hear take it with a grain of salt. I personally didn't enroll in the ACA because I already have Health Insurance through my employment. As long as the ACA doesn't affect my current rate and coverage, I don't really keep up with it much.
