Just answer the questions, CBJ7, and don't get into forbidden topics. They are easy questions.

You have no credibility until you stop insisting LL didn't prove you wrong.
And even then you won't be able to prove you're not a weenie!

It really doesn't matter, CBJ7. We know your answers already. Whatever Obama does or doesn't do is the absolute right thing to do or not do. If he wants to give guns to Mexican drug dealers, that's fine with you. If he wants to let a Marine sit in a Mexican jail for 12 years for simply having a shotgun in his car, that's fine, too. Whatever Obama says, you parrot.
So I guess the questions were answered before I even asked them.

Its no different bringing a weapon into Canada, except they honor their importation forms.

in progress (from the article)
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), who is the chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Hammars' Congresswoman, said she would do her best to help the Hammar family get their son back from Mexican authorities.
“His family has described a very disturbing situation that includes their son being chained to a bed in a very small cell and receiving calls from fellow inmates threatening his life if they did not send them money,” Ros-Lehtinen said. “The family also says that the jail where their son is being held is controlled by the dreaded and brutal Zetas drug cartel. The family wants their son back home, and I will do my best to help them."

I think there is a lot that is being left unsaid in the article. A lot of details are missing.

When was he going to start? How does our law have anything to do with Mexico?
How stupid are you?

A no-name congresswoman from FL isn't going to be able to throw around the influence necessary. A few phone calls to Nieto from Obama or Clinton would likely resolve this pretty quick. If not, then a well placed threat of retaliation and hostage rescue (such as JD suggests) would most assuredly get the desired result.
However, I doubt the current administration has the nads to initiate that contact. i.e. those hikers that were held in Iran for so long. http://abcnews.go.com/International/...0#.UMWGaYM8CSo http://abcnews.go.com/International/...7#.UMWI4IM8CSp
To refresh memories, the Oman King and Swiss diplomats had to get involved and a $500,000 bail for each was paid. Obama's response?
Quote:
"I welcome the release of Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal from detention in Iran and am very pleased that they are being reunited with their loved ones," Obama said in a written statement Wednesday. "The tireless advocacy of their families over these two years has won my admiration, and is now coming to an end with Josh and Shane back in their arms. All Americans join their families and friends in celebrating their long-awaited return home."

Severl people on this site thought this was something to be made fun of and several snarky comments were made and excuses created for Obama to be disengaged from his job. Well, here we go again.
Marine (there is no former) Jon Hammer drove into Mexico heading for central American for some fishing and surfing. His RV broke down and the local police wanted to know what he had inside. His 70 plus year old shotgun was taken apart, stowed, and registered with the Mexican border authorities. He was arrested anyway and is looking at 12 years. Where is our state department? Where is the great and powerful Hillary? What is Obama? Planning his multi-million dollar vacation no doubt. The GOP in Congress intervened for Bogan so what do we do now. A bunch of "former" marines go to Mexico and get him back.
So lets hear the snark assholes...

Disasembled relic? Don't act stupid.
I hunt with a 80 year old Model 12 Winchester and there isn't anything "relic" about it.
And like you or any of the sources you quote would ever add all of the information involved in any of your "outrage" stories.
You bore me. You are trite and insignificant.
