it depends on what you're after.
bj tc - a chair, desk, ottoman, table will do.
serious daty, 69, fs - i want a nice clean comfortable bed!! [no need for those pesky springs to pop out and stab you or her in the ass or elsewhere!!]
and if it's in a very nice, clean, comfortable, relaxing apt/house/hotel room, all the better!!!
main criteria is CLEAN!!!!

A nice sturdy bed that does not creak, rattle or complain when pounding is going on. No headboard unless its attached to the wall or has a cushion between the wall and headboard....
Clean sheets.. damn do we even have to mention that? If I wash my ass for you, you better wash your fricking sheets.......
I also like a higher bed... standing off the edge, fucking her or bending her over the edge is easier on the knees and backs of us old men if they are higher.
If you wanna get kinky... put some smurf or hello kitty sheets on for me and put up pigtails....

After having a lady wave me off from a particular hotel I was checking into in NYC after she discovered bed bugs THAT has suddenly become the most important thing on my list (yes, clean sheets, of course!!!). Se pulled up her sleeve to show me where the little fuckers had bitten her the night before. Gross!!

Everything matters. Some matter more than others, but ambiance is important.
Suppose you have two providers who are otherwise identical. One has an air mattress on the floor with a cheap, but clean sheet. The other has a nice bed, with a great mattress, and wonderful, clean bed linens. You're obviously going to prefer the latter. The real world problem is that 1) all things are rarely equal; and 2) the great bed with 1,000 count fresh cotton sheets costs more money to maintain.
I'd say that a great bed is sort in the middle of the list of those things that matter, but it does matter.

The old water beds were nice. If you got the wave action going the right way she didn't have to do mutch at all to fuck your brains out. I do like clean sheets. A wet spot in the middle off the bed is a huge turn off. If you get on your knees for doggie and you almost fall threw a hole in the mattress that's not good either.

Only if the spin cycle is slightly out of balance and, yeah, where the hell DID all the waterbeds go?
The only thing that makes you picky about where you do the deed is age. Really. When I was about a hundred years younger between the seats of my Camaro was just fine, creek banks were fine, back yards, back of station wagons, pick up beds, floors, bathroom stalls at campgrounds, smelly couches, vans, roofs, tents, canoes, nylon sleeping bags, pool tables....sheesh, what the hell has a bed got to do with it?
Now, yeah maybe a big soft bed in a proper and artificially controlled environment is better for my knees, but the truth is, poontang isn't always available in the comfy zone...take it where you find it!

Oh whatever, you guys know a mostly cleaned off spot on the tile works just fine. Just make sure she cleans the condoms up first.
Hey doc, remember the mattress that was everything at naughtyville? Shoot that thing was like a hippie couch. We did everything there, include eat!! THEN after all the wonderfully dirty things we did on it, I moved it to my 4 poster bed at home.
