Yeah, there aren't any AJ Greens/Julio Jones type guys in this class.
Just a bunch of solid #2 guys at that spot. Tavon Austin is a complete wildcard btw, but I think he will succeed because speed is a great asset to have now days in the NFL.

I agree I don't get a boner over any of the WR's either. Unlike Teo, he prolly gets a chub just thinknng about tackling a WR and laying on him a little extra!!
Cush better not give Teo a little "Push", we don't need an SC boy switching teams on us and going homo.
At least the draft means we are closer to football season.

We most likely just got the best WR in the draft, but that doesn't mean we should expect him to be the next AJ Green or whatever, but Hopkins will be much better than Walter or any other #2 we've had. I know people are saying he might not work out well in the league because Clemson has a different system in which he was productive in. But I'm sure he will do well in our system, he's big and physical, and can go get the ball, we made the right pick.

Hopkins was the best receiver available. 6'1" 210lbs. He's physical on the line and known to be a tenacious downfield blocker and crisp route runner. All important in our offense. He has some similarities to AJ in that he has strong hands and will fight for the ball. He scored at least one touchdown in 11 out of twelve games last year the only one he didn't score in was a 41-7 blowout of Furman, I think. That shows consistency.
With 4.57 speed he will more than likely be considered another possession receiver rather than someone that can stretch the field. That's OK if we can still get enough production from him to make him relevant enought to be considered in defensive game plans. The other thing it does is it moves Martin into a slot position for which he is better suited and can possibly stretch the field with his speed from there if Shaub can get the ball to him.

No one wants to mention how my Vikes absolutely plundered the first round? Don't hate bitches!!
Just because Floyd is going to get all sorts of one-on-ones with Williams and Allen drawing all the attention and pocket 10+ sacks in the process... Rhodes will be a great physical fit to a young and ball hawking secondary, and Patterson may have the highest upside of any WR in this years draft to pair with Jennings to help out the baddest back in the league!!!
Ponder gets no more chances after thus year.... he either needs to shine or be put down....
By the way DeD Jarvis falling to 17 is just disgusting! There's your next Greg Lloyd. Dude is scary good....[sarcasm font]. bout time Pitt had a decent LB on the roster..... [sarcasm font]

The Viking did well in the first round.
Patterson has a lot of potential but little experience. It will take some time to develop him. Work ethic is always a question in my mid with JuCo transfers.
