No smartass, the zone is locked down and you are not allowed in with a firearm and there are means to make sure that doesn't happen. No one expects a criminal to follow the laws.

I think JD provided several examples already. Fear is what keeps many people honest. Fear of getting caught and paying a fine. Fear of going to jail / prison. Fear of getting their ass shot. You are a fucking fool.

If someone is intent on murder, it certainly does not matter if it is a gun free zone or not. Never said anything to the contrary. However, in my example, the guy wants to get into the strip club and leaves his gun in his vehicle, not planning to need it. Had he brought it in undetected, we would probably have had another homicide in a gun free zone and the right wingers would say "See, another gun free zone did not work".

My office building is a gun free zone. If a worker wants to risk losing a rather high-paying job by carrying his/her handgun into the building, that is their choice. How would you like to have to fire someone who you consider to be a little off-center mentally and might be carrying a handgun?

Please show me the theaters that have metal detectors. There may be a few but the vast majority of gun free zones are counting on the honest person following the law. You continue to amaze me with the level of stupidity you exhibit.

If fear is what keeps people honest, why aren't crime rates dropping?
Your mistake is assuming that fear affects criminals the same way it affects people who aren't criminals. And it doesn't.

So you want every school, shopping mall and theater to be like going to the airport. That's perfect. We can have the TSA handle that since they do such an awesome job with their current task. Jesus fucking Christ you're an imbecile.

Instead of calling me names, propose something else. That is how discussions work. You simply call me a name, and add some bullshit about the TSA that I never said. We could start with schools. Shouldn't our children at least be safe for shit's sake?

Go look here, same tweet with the time of 8:34, because that's what time it was in the time zone the viewer was viewing it in. This is common knowledge, not sure why people are freaking out.

Ok I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I don't use Twitter. But this shooting still just doesn't make any sense. I saw one crime scene on that deck. It only shows the supposedly deceased body of Alan Ward. No Crime Scene tape to mark off the scene. No markers indicating the spent bullet casings and no signs of any blood what so ever. This guy shoots three people all in close proximity of each other with several 9mm hollow point rounds and not one fucking drop of blood that is detectable. That deck should of looked pretty messy.

Thank you for recognizing common sense on the twitter. Each person sees the tweet time in their own time zone, hence the disparity. As for the blood, there is often less blood than one would expect at a crime scene like this. We also don't know what stage the investigation was in when you describe the scene as unfinished.
