I did my stint in the Army, and separated several years ago; so this is not an issue I'll have to deal with. Yet, I know hundreds of men and women still serving who will have trouble dealing with characters like Rupaul or Kessley. I probably served with men and women who were gay, but under DADT they kept UTR. Their mission was to be a soldier first, and they did not advertise their sexuality. Hence, I had absolutely no problem serving with them. The only gay men and women I did know about were those who outted themselves ,because they realized they didn't like Afghanistan. Plus, I suspect some of them were not actually gay, they just wanted to go home.
By "antics," I was referring to innuendo (not unlike what WTF was suggesting) and how they might carry themselves physically: extended limp wrist, sashaying hips, etc., such stereotypical behavior causes me to retch. These things are not covered by regulations.
Yes, it is my problem, but it reflects my rearing, education and training. When I enlisted, I had to swear I was not homosexual and that I had never engaged in a homosexual liaison. Similarly, I had to swear that I was not a Communist and that I had never subscribed to any Communist tenets. The same goes for drugs. That’s the way I was raised, and that is the way I was expected to behave. BTW, I can empathize with homosexuals in the military. I constantly worried about my activities with providers. Such a revelation, would have ended my career. I hid the reality, and I didn’t tell anyone either. In that regard, I'm not a hypocrite. Like I said earlier, the real challenge was never to be caught doing anything (DUIs included) that might give the Army a black eye in public relations. The Army will quickly sacrifice an individual to shore up its image.

Patronizing prostitutes just got more costly
New rule means those convicted face dishonorable discharge, jail
January 24, 2006
Service members now may pay dearly for hiring a prostitute. Under a change in the Manual for Courts-Martial, troops who patronize prostitutes can receive a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and up to a year in jail. “Before now, there was no explicit prohibition on patronizing a prostitute,” said Eugene Fidell, president of the National Institute of Military Justice. “It’s clear they’re getting serious about this. I think it’s a sign of changing values in our society, including military society. Once upon a time, this kind of thing was rampant, like heavy drinking and smoking.”
The change took effect Nov. 13 but received renewed emphasis by the Pentagon after President Bush signed a law Jan. 10 containing various provisions designed to combat human trafficking, which is heavily tied to prostitution. But it applies in all cases, even if a service member visits a legal brothel, regardless of local domestic or foreign law, said Pentagon spokeswoman Air Force Lt. Col. Ellen Krenke.
Officials said they are clamping down on prostitution because it is the main fuel for the human trafficking industry — the illegal practice of procuring human beings for unpaid work in physically abusive settings and locations and forcing them to stay there. Most women involved in prostitution are doing so against their will. Even by simply patronizing a strip club or bar that allows prostitution, individuals are supporting the worldwide human trafficking industry, officials said. The law signed by Bush requires the Defense Department to incorporate anti-trafficking and protection measures in areas following armed conflicts and during humanitarian emergencies, especially for women and children.

DAYUM!!! I generally take the position that I should read all the POVs posted in any thread.
However, there's an exception to every rule, and I might just institute the exception for herfacechair.

I have never used the ignore before...but I have now.
Think how cool it would be if everyone had him on their ignore. It would be as if he didn't exist.
