Ameripro, you are to be commended for trying to help her out. When you agreed to sell her the car why not give her enough time to come up with the down payment? You could have worked out some sort usage fee that was reasonable until she had enough business to cover the down payment. Merci is certainly guilty of counting her chickens before they hatch and for not returning the car in timely manner in the first place. I don't think she was thinking for stealing your car. She was waiting for her business to pick up. When that didn't happen right away everything blew up out of proportion.

Usage fee? Time for a downpayment? The guy loaned her the car for a day, then she went radio silent and had it for 3 days. Then she asked him if he would sell it. Why would you offer to buy a car you couldn't afford or had no money for in the first place? I don't think her intent was theft, I think she thought her string of bullshit and self created hardships would be enough to string this guy along and he'd feel sorry for her and continue to let her use it without paying. When that backfired, she's now calling her "lawyer" and claiming Ameripro ruined her life
