The people I mentioned do not have "extreme wealth" like the man in the link you provided. Actually, that guy is not even just wealthy. He's way above wealthy. He's rich. LOL
The two guys I know and mentioned are definitely multimillionaires though and are doing very well for themselves. They busted their asses and they earned it. They made no excuses and are killing it all the way to the bank.
I know Creed will come in and say that the two black gentlemen I mentioned are outliers, but the fact of the matter is that any self made multimillionaires are an outlier in any race regardless of their skin color. They all have a common denominator and that is work ethic and that's why they are so successful financially.

Across town.. same district has a school with a 100% "college ready" rating for ACT scores (the entire district is tested Junior year, for free). Same. District. Its also regarded as one of the top 10 public high schools in the country.

What are you gonna GIVE me? I work hard. Don't I deserve a nice place to live, good food? But I guess tough shit for me, my skin color is wrong.

Says the guy who has had slavery fruits of labor passed down to him.
Oh, but lemme guess. You’ve rehearsed the ‘started from nothing/hard work’ story, too?

She is 100% correct. You should be laughing at yourself for your complete lack of financial knowledge. Or please explain to me how paying interest on debt benefits anyone financially as a gain and not a loss. Don't bother trying because you can't.
You avoid as much debt as you can to keep a good credit score and to keep from paying interest. It's that simple. This shit is not rocket science.

By contrast, what is rent?
Basically, it’s permanent debt.
Keeping certain people from home ownership is REEEEALLLY good way to keep them down, no?
No further questions, your honor.

Creed, rent has no HOA fees, no outdoor maintenance lawn fees, no indoor maintenance costs, no property taxes and I could go on and on about the cost benefits if I rented. People who can easily afford a house rent for a reason. It's for convenience.
There is no guarantee that if you buy a house you'll get a profit after doing so. It all depends on the market. You can easily lose money if it's the wrong time and the wrong place.

Rent in a crappy 2-br apartment in your average sized town can be $7-800 a month. A couple years later, it balloons up to $1,000 or more.
There are places here in ATL that go for $1,800 a month. This is $22,000 a year going into something that you don’t own, and won’t ever own.
By the time they’re done raising your rent , and other cost of living, over a decade, it’s threatening $300,000.
How does that stack up against lawn maintenance, HOA fees, or an occasional home repair?
Oh, btw, you can’t pass down an apartment lease to your survivors.

I can tell you've likely never had to hire someone. When you have work that needs doing, and you need staff... You will accept LESS than what you want. I've hired close to a hundred people over the years... maybe a quarter of them were black. I've turned down plenty of black people... not because of their skin color but because they were late, weren't able to convey complex problems in simple to understand terms, had obviously BSd on their resume (probably the least important thing in the interview). I've not hired plenty of white people and Indians (DNF) for the same exact reasons. It's your victimhood that blames outcomes on your skin color and not your capabilities.
Were you maybe a better candidate? Maybe.. at least in your eyes. But you almost never know what the interviewer is thinking or really wants anyway. I've had colleagues not get hired into jobs I KNOW they would do well in. Is that bias or prejudice? No. That's life it's not fair.

Fuck, dude.

Claiming someone is a racist is an extraordinary claim... your evidence ought to be as compelling as your charge. It almost never is.

LOL. That's what's funny. You think being black is some kind of special case. His point was that Blacks are NOT the only people who have ever suffered under their fellow mans oppression.
You keep mentioning redlining... keeping blacks from moving into middle class neighborhoods. Can you show me where blacks moving into a neighborhood lead to a renaissance of that neighborhood? Where crime went down? Where poverty decreased? Where the schools got better?
I'll wait too.

I cannot argue with that. I feel the same way and have no debt of any kind.
Why not a private school then?

You haven't made a single salient point other than at one point, Banks wouldn't let blacks buy homes in white neighborhoods. We get it. That was also fixed by the Courts and that's why it's now ILLEGAL. What else you got that 's legal discrimination that hasn't been halted by the courts?
If America is so racist why do blacks have to keep manufacturing fraudulent racial events. Jussie I'm looking at you... as well as that recent NASCAR bullshit.
You keep thinking you're so smart, but you wouldn't even pass philosophy 101 with your pathetic arguments. Again just another part of the problem.. you've been told your special and you're not.... so you have this outsized expectation with what YOU DESERVE.
In reality you are deserving of only that which you create.

You touched on the real issue and it's not RACISM. It's CLASSISM. It's not that the white middle class it racist against blacks. The rich are using racial politics to keep the middle and lower classes pitted against one another. The middle class wants nothing more for the poor to move up the ladder and adopt their social mores. It's an infinitely expandable lifeboat. But only if you help row. If you're going to just climb in and expect shit, this boat will get swamped and go under.
And this is all done by the wealthy to keep us from focusing that 2% of the Country controls so much wealth... and so many politicians.
How many black kids died in Chicago this weekend? No on even fucking cares. But if a white cop, shoots a black guy... it's the end of the f*cking world. Black lives matter!!! (if a white cop is the shooter). otherwise, fuckit it takes a few eggs to make an omelette.

LOL. My family is from the North. Came into the colonies in 1640 as indentured servants. Moved into upstate NY and then Wisconsin. The other side are Germans that came here in the 1840-50s.
My Dads Great Grandfather for who he was named served in the ACW (Wisconsin Iron Brigade). He served at Vicksburg and Shermans march through Georgia. No part of my family lived in the South until my brother moved to Georgia in the 90s. No part of my family ever owned slaves or was wealthy enough to do so.
How did I exactly benefit from Slavery? And if it's because America benefitted from Slavery....well, then so did you.
You then go on to claim, I got it through inheritance. Is inheritance outlawed for blacks?
