That is correct. Not only had the African Duncan lied on his questionaire back in Liberia but also traveled to Brussels and DC via connecting flight. The Liberian government had plans to arrest him upon a return to Liberia. He helped a pregnant woman in Liberia knowing full well she had Ebola and came to the US anyway.
Then he did not inform THD's ER of his travels from Liberia until his second visit, 3 days later. By then he already had a fever and vomiting and diarrhea and was extremely contagious.
Basically a criminal's family sued a major hospital system in Dallas. He infected two good nurses, caused a month of public panic, caused millions of dollars of decontamination costs among multiple companies including the airline carrier Amber Vinson used and Carnival. An entire cruise vacation was ruined because of a lab worker that only carried Duncan's blood that was contained even via isolation precautions. Tens of thousands of lives were disrupted for weeks at a time and miliions upon millions of dollars spent.
If anything Amber Vinson and Nina Pham should have sued Texas Health Resources for inadequate protection from Ebola and counter-sued the Duncan family for almost losing their lives.
And naturally and ultimately Prezzy Obola gets his narcissistic photo-op with Nina Pham like he always does. The brave healthcare workers at THD and in Bethesda MD deserve kudos for caring for Nina.
