So if I believe IB, which I do not, the Christians could never persecute Christians.
Hmmmm.... how many people see some very serious logic flaws in that. But then it is IB we are talking about, so logic flaws and lies are expected.

Uhhh, the Nazis persecuted Catholics as well. The Nazi movement was not a Christian movement. That is a mistake. The Nazis used various things as vehicles to hold power. Most of Europe is already anti-semitic and the Nazis used that. Many of the early Nazis were gay, how does that figure in your claims?

Gays can't be Christian? Go read up on Hitler and Christianity. I never said it was a Christian movement but he most certainly did, in his own psycho way, think he was using Christianity to prove the Jews were incorrect in their beliefs. So what if he persecuted catholics. Ever heard of the inquisition? Because Christians have never persecuted other Christians

Actually, Old-THUMPER, what was said, and contrary to what you stupidly imagine was said, Old-THUMPER, is that Nazis did not persecute others in the name of "Christianity".
Quote:
"Not many Germans lost much sleep over the arrests of a few thousand pastors and priests or over the quarreling of the various Protestant sects. And even fewer paused to reflect that under the leadership of Alfred Rosenberg, an outspoken pagan, Bormann and Himmler, who were backed by Hitler, and the Nazi regime intended eventually to destroy Christianity in Germany, if it could, and substitute the old paganism of the early tribal Germanic gods and the new paganism of the Nazi extremists... Bormann said publically in 1941, 'National Socialism and Christianity are irreconcilable'" (p. 240, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany, by William Shirer).

Actually, JD, there is no mistaking that Old-THUMPER and the "#Grubered" Odumbo Minion are conspicuous liars; who are attempting to imitate their master, Odumbo, in their craft of lies and deception.

You lie again, you "#Grubered" Odumbo Minion. Hitler and his minions were using science, such as the highly regarded *science* of phrenology, to identify and separate the master race from those he and his associates termed "Der Untermensch", you "#Grubered" Odumbo Minion. BTW, you "#Grubered" Odumbo Minion, have ever heard of the Conversos and Moriscos?

Does your mom bring your meals down to the basement or does she make you come upstairs to get them?

IB, your point was the Nazis couldn't be Christians since they persecuted Christians.
My point was that your point was false. And it was. Christians have killed many Christians arguing over who was the better steward of Christ's mandate to love one another. And you see nothing odd in that, do you?

No, Old-THUMPER. You are again obviously quite stupid and wrong, Old-THUMPER. The point was that the Nazi leadership was pagan, not Christian, and though they did persecute Christians, they did not persecute them in the name of Christianity, or even pagan gods, Old-THUMPER, They persecuted them in the name of a secular, fascist state, Old-THUMPER.

More confusion???? Who said that christians are not gay or the reverse? Nazism was not a christian movement but there were christians who were Nazis. How hard is that to understand?

You said many of the nazis were gay as a retort to my claim of them using christianity as a vehicle, thereby insinuating that they could not be both christian and gay. Is it that hard to understand. You can't even follow your own line of thinking. Go do a little research on Hitler and christianity. I never said it was a christian movement but they most certainly espoused christian beliefs that they then twisted to fit their own needs.

Still kind of amazed how everything on this "political post" always ends up turning into a bunch of name calling.
Now, how about a little reality here. Obama has no intention of getting us involved in another skirmish in that part of the world. I think I'm greatful for that! He has to work n a world that includes some of our allies, who we and he knows are just as bad as ISIS, and even funded that group!
Now, back to the original topic, that of Obama comparing what was done during the crusades and inquisition as being as bad as anything being done today by ISIS. The problem never was that every person and country has to be always on guard against ever letting authorities do evil to others. Nations and peoples throughout history have done evil. It never was because of any one thing, like religion. It is just a dangerous trait of us! The problem was, he didn't stress that, and then challenge everyone that listens to him, to always be vigilant to always be on guard to insure that we as a people of the world, never let this happen. Not in the name of power, or religion, or greed, or anything else! See how quick we are to allow distractions to distract us from what is important and get us to attack each other! I think some of you guys need to get laid! Any ladies out there willing to help out here?

I first ask myself, why bother but I have to go forward....my factual claim that many of the early Nazis were gay is true and it has nothing (I never said that it did) to do with Christianity. I just wanted your response (and I got nothing back) about that. It would seem to that using what passes for logic here is that since so many early Nazis were gay then it must be a gay movement as well. Not my logic but the logic on display.

Your insisting that your claim is true does not make it true, you besotted dipshit.
No matter how many times you stomp your little feet and hold your breath, it still doesn't make it true.
Offer proof. SOLID proof.

He, UnderConstruction, don't argue with IBIdiot about the rise of Nazism. Next to the Civil War, it's his passion. Especially the GAY NAZIs! When it comes to hatred and genocide, it's practically his hobby... Moreso than women, for sure!
Oh, and he'll be calling you "#Grubered" long past its expiration date. In fact, it's already a hackneyed example of TeaWipe name calling. Kind of like the use of the word "Yankee,"which is still an integral part of his name-calling arsenal.
My advice is to fuck with the man and don't try too hard to understand his patois.
