There's a ton of info in medical journals. Go to scholar.google.com and search for something like coronavirus or COVID if you'd like to get an idea.

If you wanna believe 500,000 people have died from Covid-19 that's fine with me. I am not afraid of Covid-19.

As I've stated in the past, I was mentally and emotionally prepared for 20M deaths, so I think we're doing pretty good with 500K. I'm not worried either.

I’m worried. Politicians have already run up the national debt by 5 trillion because of COVID. Biden’s arguing for 4 trillion more, mostly for Democratic Party pet projects, and he’s using COVID as part of the justification.
The potential they’ll bankrupt the nation and raise my taxes sky high worry me.

I held out for as long as I could. I originally wanted to decide in June 2021, as there would be more real-world data by then. However, certain risk factors changed for me sooner than expected, so I ended up getting the Janssen (J&J) one in early April...right before the EUA was pulled. First few days, 102F fever, moderate headache, and muscle aches. Fever went away first, then headaches, then finally muscle aches...almost 2 weeks later. Do I regret getting it, now that I survived it? No? Do I think these vaccines should be mandatory, or there should be incentives/disincentives tied to getting it/not getting it. HELL NO.

I said I wasn't afraid of COVID, I didn't say anything about government histrionics.
I'm not afraid of what you mentioned above, I'm fucking furious about it.

from what i read, people who were already exposed are having these types of reactions. it's possible you already were based on what you say you experienced.

I would say most people have been exposed to it. Being exposed doesn't guarantee a manifestation of the full blown illness. The Vaccine just doesn't have the track record to suit me at this time.

Actually "Lock downs" have a detrimental affect on the so called "Herd Immunity" It gives the virus more time to mutate. Viruses are for the most part Parasitic, they need a host. The more widespread the virus becomes the less of a chance it will mutate into a more virulent strain. Over time it will burn itself out of the population and people will become less susceptible. If every year during the onset of the "Flu Season" if there were Mask Mandates and "Lock Downs" there would most likely be a similar out come as what is being seen with this Pandemic right now.

The lockdowns were a bad idea to begin with. Should have instructed immunodeficient people and their cohabitators to cloister, as well as anyone else who wanted to, and let the thing burn itself out.

heres social media for ya
zuckerberg said in a private conversation that he was concerned about the effect these vaccinations might have on a persons DNA but added that if you said that on facebook, you would be banned

Interesting, thanks for posting that.
I know jack about this, but believe Zuckerberg is full of shit. The messenger RNA (mRNA) in the vaccine teaches DNA in your cells to manufacture antibodies and the like, to fight the virus. Your DNA isn't modified. And the messenger RNA disappears from your body in short order, after your immune system learns how to respond to the virus.
I'd rather get the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccines than other types of vaccines, as they're more effective, in the short term at least.

I received both shots of the Pfizer in Feb
first shot - no affect
2nd shot - felt like I had the flu for a day and a half
ive heard hearsay stories from people I know telling me they know people winding up in the hospital from the shots
when they determine there will be a need for 6 month or annual boosters- that will be a logistical nightmare all over again

Agreed. Although I'd a lot rather get immunity through a vaccine than getting the disease.

It seems like it would be the reverse. If the virus is more widespread and stays around longer, it will mutate more. The vaccines, in particular Pfizer and Moderna, are better at producing immunity than a previous infection is. They also are more effective against variants created by mutations than a previous infection.
The flu caused fewer deaths last year than it does in most years, and people are speculating it's because of masking and lockdowns and the like. That's not to say I agree with lockdowns -- I don't.
Trying to persuade the public to wear masks and social distance, to buy time for development of vaccines, was a good idea.
