But woody if one of the candidates lies why wouldn't the opponent have the wherewithal to think on his feet and point out what was not true about what is being said.
Then we have the logistical issue of how we define a lie.
Is it a lie to say we had the "greatest economy in the history of this country" before the sniffles shutdown? Is it a lie to say that your President is "the first racist President in the history of the country"?
Moronic democrat party rhetoric tells us the former is a lie, and the latter is true, which is fucking ridiculous.
This is a part of why "fact checking" has become a political tool and is essentially useless at best and probably better described as deliberately misleading.
There is no such thing as non-partisan in this day and age.
