Yeah but Al, did by know there was no such thing as a Civil War? It was the Rebellious War and initially had nothing to do w ending slavery in the south? It was about profits and the federal gvmts attempt to seize cotton plantations? That ending slavery was a demand made to propogate northern blacks to join the war and the reason southern blacks joined the war and fight against the northern blacks was cause they knew the truth and didn't want their homes left in ruins and their families uprooted from a quite comfy lifestyle they knew they couldn't achieve on their own? That Jefferson Davis was the person who coined it the Civil War to protect the cotton business including slaves? That a few accounts of lynchings, rapes and murders were blown up to extreme proportions to sell a totally unrelated reason to have the war?
This is not taught in schools. It is however in our national records known as the U.S. Archives which includes not only documents but diaries and letters sent to family members from the Union and Confederate soldiers?
What is written in history books are lies. Just like "there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq" and "Miramar Gadaffi was a brutal leader". That Henry Ford invented the automobile, Alexander Graham Bell the phone and Thomas Edison the light bulb? Ben Franklin did not discover electricity and Christopher Columbus did not discover America. It's all lies!
So, racism in the US is built on bull shit and lies!

And 68, I am a Christian! Therefore even though u support racism; don't understand what the "distinct from" in ur definition up there means and believe in polite wars, I still love u as my neighbor! As did my ancestors love urs and urs loved mine.
You should read Frederrick Douglas' writings. He was a very successful black man alive during The Rebellious War! Then study Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois... both men were historical black figures whose writings and proposals dispell history books very well.
