It depends on the context. But if the context is "who can afford to pay more in taxes when times are hard," I think $240,000/year is a good dividing line. Especially if the amount of "extra tax" is a modest 4.6%. If you make $20,000/month, you can chip in a little more. And I could even see tacking on another 5% at around $720,000 to 1,000,000/year.

right out of the Communist Manifesto......you are un-American and should have your ass deported out of here.....you don't deserve to live here.....you worthless piece of shit......
"better position" for you means "willing to work a job"...others would struggle to get off their fat food-stamped ass and get a job?...why don't you just say what you really feel? you want to kill the rich, take all their money, rape their wives and torture their children..... how dare they have more than you! who cares if they work harder and smarter than you......

I have been a dishwasher, carpet installer, was enlisted in the military for 8 years as a med lab tech during the Vietnam war. I have sold newspapers, picked up soda bottles for cash, mowed lawns, short order cook at a fast food resteraunt, worked two jobs while going to college, worked as a handyman, installed sheet rock, house painting, sold enclyclopedias and vacumn cleaners door to door, cleaned cow shit out of barns, milked and herded cows, and lots of other jobs. I have worked since I was 12 years old (since my father died). I know what it is like to struggle to pay bills. I have never been on welfare, or taken food stamps even when my income was way below poverty level. I have been homeless, lived in a carpet warehouse with no shower for months, lived in converted garages, rented a patio room from an old lady for a place to sleep. There was a time for several years when I could not afford even a 600 square foot apartment. So I doubt there are many jobs out there I would not do because they pay very little money. You do what you must do to survive. The point is I have been there, and done that.
The point is, many people who could have a job subsist on "entitlements", and don't take the jobs out there when they could.

No. What I'm saying, you fucking assgape, is that the rich should pay their fair share of taxes, create jobs (in America, since us po' folks can't do it) and actually do something other than benefit off freedom that's been HANDED to you, by people that aren't rich.
Making a shitload of money is a two-way street: the more you make, the more you pay in taxes. Please justify why it should work any other way, Marsha.

Again, your posting history calls into question just about every claim you make about yourself. So you may as well not bother.
I have a 9-1/2" dick and every provider i've ever been with has so many orgasms that they end up paying me by the end of the session.
See my point?

Ok, and if the discussion about whether or not you're "being punished" was solely about those people, you'd have a right to gripe. It's not. You don't.

So when NYS taxes people 75% higher than the national average for inner city school taxes and the graduation rate is under 50%, you feel that raising taxes is the answer? The fraud is absurd, theres enough money being wasted already to take care of our issues.Medicare has a problem with bureaucrats not policing where the funds go..etc and to say any difrent is being disingenuous. This "RICH" argument sickens me.

Your "waste" argument is absurd. Call Rush and find someone who agrees with you on that nonsense. But if you think we spend too much? Ok, but if you want any credibility, you need to start with the defense budget. We could cut $500B a year and still spend 2X as much as any other country. That's $1 Trillion (with a "T") we could save every 2 years to start paying down the debt. So if you really care to be serious....
Why have i not heard you once, not once, mention the defense budget? Not only that, but you've had it pointed out to you several times that we're currently under-taxed in historical terms, but not once, not once have you mentioned that. You ignore that simple fact and instead you complain about being over-taxed. Really? Compared to what time in history? Tell me.
Not once have you linked to a simple fact, or statistic to back up anything you say. Not once. Instead, you rely on lazy platitudes and made up numbers that could fit on a bumber sticker. Back up your rhetoric.

Maybe NY would not have to pay so much more in taxes if they would quit giving tax breaks to people in rural counties that own farms............
You ever thought about that?
