I recalled Deli News having a decent pastrami; but this reminds me of what I call NY style....unless you specifically ask for "lean" ! Maybe ask for it sub-style, or BYOB (bring your own bread) ????

You might actually be right. I just googled them and apparently there are several locations!?!

You know how that can be sometimes, so I can only say I've tried the one in Carrollton. As is also mentioned in the Yelp reviews, it is ridiculously cheap, especially considering how good it is.

does anyone know the location on HARRY HINES el paisa. theere is a sign saying 75 cent tacos.. from MON -THURSDAY.

i did visit them but they still charged me 1.50 for tacos.. so was not sure when that Specail price is valid. it is just lunch on Mon-Thu..

There is a Puerto Rican hole in the wall restaurant in Bedford serving the best mojitos and authentic dishes. Live salsa band on Friday nights.

This thread needs to be revived. Looking for new places to try. Some of these places I regularly visit now.

I tried out al kabob recently. Middle eastern food. Needed a little kick in the taste bud. Had the butter chicken which was really good. Looking forward to trying more from this place once I google what some of this stuff is...lol

Let's see more recommendations.

The Free Man in Deep Ellum. Great cajun joint with live jazz music in the evenings.

Casa Vieja in Carrollton. Columbian place that is fantastic.

Rodeo Goat in the design district. Gourmet burger joint with some of the most insane and creative burger recipes.

If you like Japanese cuisine try Mr. Max in Irving. It's an Izakaya style restaurant. The most authentic that I have found in DFW.

I used to work with a lot of Japanese expats and they love this place.
