What happened to the Eagles.
They go from winning the Super Bowl to being a 6-6 team.
Did they let go of a lot of good players and coaching staff during the off season?
I don't follow the NFL during the off season: drafts, cuts, signings, etc., I don't pay attention to it.

Then...my advice....would be to keep one's opinions out of football discussions of significant content. Else wise one might say things that others (not me, of course) would deem as incredibly stupid.
To answer the question, "What happened to the Eagles"? Well....
Several things....a first place schedule. for starters....a multitude of injuries throughout the roster....a non-existent running game...a starting QB who is still off his game from a late season knee injury last year....etc, etc
Have fun in LA next week, Iggles! Dilly Dilly!

Thoughts after watching the game:
- Awesome win today considering it’s importance. I think I heard one more and we clinch the division? Hell yeah.
- The refs really sucked. The back to back plays (offensive pass interference against Philly, roughing the passer against Dallas) were pathetic. I almost feel like the refs get worse every year. Surely that is just my imagination...
- Dak did a better job against Dallas than Philly did tonight. Skying passes over receivers’ heads with no pressure, having no clue where defenders are at while he’s in the pocket (ie zero pocket awareness), and generally just losing his head when he gets rushed - all these things are not a great recipe for success. It just goes to show how great our defense has been doing. To Dak I would say - Calm the fuck down and visit a Manning camp already. I want to like you, but you make it harder every game.

Thank God for Amari Cooper & Zeke Elliott.
Now we are seeing the difference between a receiver who can separate (Amari) and one who couldn’t (Dez).
It was nice to see Dak realize we have tight ends lining up on the field as well.
That kicker can nail a 62 yarder but it’s fucking hit or miss on chippies...Smh
What’s the word on Travis Frederick’s medical progress, I’m tired of seeing those shitty, low shotgun snaps?

Travis does a weekly spot on The Fan 105.3 and the other day he let it be known that he'd officially been shut down for the remainder of the 2018 season. He's just now getting back "feeling" in his arms, fingers, legs, etc and is still at 25% the strength he was at prior to the onset of the disease the beginning of summer camp.
He added that even if his physicians gave the green light to get with trainers and strength coaches and went full bore starting today, it would prolly be late January-early February before he could be close to putting the pads back on. Too late and too risky to chance a serious injury trying to make a run at this stage of the season.
So, that said, we're just gonna have to live with Looney and those half-assed shotgun snaps he's famous for the rest of this season.
Just as big a concern is the setback OG Zac Martin had in yesterday's game. My hopes are rookie OL Connor Williams can capably fill in the next 3 weeks and we're able to keep Martin on ice (and Sean Lee, too, for that matter) until it's Playoff Time.

the Refs continue to be very bad, but I agreed with the roughing the passer call.. it wasn't a late hit, but the way he hit the QB merited the call. I think.. of course, having just blown the offensive interference call, there may have been a little "let them (the Eagles) have this one to make up for the previous bullshit call"..

Both the offensive PI and defensive roughing the passer penalties were questionable.
On the offensive PI, the TE definately bumps into heath and you can see him go back a couple of yards which allowed him seperation. Tick tacky but could see why the called it but I wouldn’t have called it.
the roughing the passer call should not have been called. The defender wrapped up the legs and did not drive into the legs.
Zeke penalty he was pushed into the defender. That shouldn’t have been called.
The opening kickoff calll we got lucky but was the right call because the whistle was blow and no one had the ball. That was on the refs but the right call and fortunate.

Dak needs to shape up.
576 yards of total offense, 434 of that passing, over 45 minutes of ball possession...won game by only 6 points in OT.
Wtf?
The Eagles scored almost as much with half the time.
