One very confused Russian soldier is quoted as saying "who are we supposed to shoot, they all look like us". Moral has to be very low with tanks and helicopter gunships being shot out of the air reminiscent of Afghanistan and now Germany and the Baltic states are re-sullying the Javelin tank killers and Stinger missiles to shoot down the helicopters and transports.


One American military annalist ( a bit premature perhaps ) said, "the war is essentially over for Putin, he just doesn't know it yet".


I was happy to hear that Germany and Italy, the two hold outs in cutting of Russia from SWIFT agreed to move forward with that and then I hear that an "exception" was carved out to let Russia continue to use SWIFT for it's oil and natural gas sector. Excuse me? Refuse to stop the one thing that gives Putin the money to continue this war? WTF?


I hope that isn't true but sounds about right.

On the one hand you have a guy that was so transparently self interested and the other just transparent that world leaders were and are literally laughing in their face.
