Bud Lite sales were down about 17% comparing Apr 2022 to Apr 2023.
Yet the larger AB boycott never materialized. BUD appears to have weathered the storm well thus far and the market reflects that.
Let's revisit in 6 months and again next year.
Once folks realize that every major light beer brand they can turn to is an LGTBQ ally AND identifies as beer-flavored water. The implication is that the fervor is over Dylan Mulvaney when you consider zero reaction from the right over the Laverne Cox Smirnoff ads and they bounced back well from their pandemic challenges.
Wonder how many pearl clutchers will actually convert long-term. Since we don't have any pearl clutchers who were actual Bud Lite drinkers here to begin with we don't have to worry about the brass and convictions of the ECCIE Pgh vocal minority and can look to actual data.

6 months or a year may show the boycott is a memory but it doesn't change the fact their decision to use that type of advertising cost them dearly and they know it.
Future sales doesn't change that, period
They fucked up

They were hurting for growth domestically and already trading fickle amounts of msrket share with their peers. If this cost them some customers but manages to help bring in a glut of new, younger, and more loyal customers in the long run, then it could actually be a net positive. And yeah, that's an IF. But this game isn't over. As it plays out I win regardless of the outcome.
There will be research on this for years. I'm confident it will be a Harvard Business Review case.
Sales are down in the short-term, but a long look is required to truly understand the impact. This is why I'm interested in that small rural bar where there was no change in the first week. Signals that there's not uniformity of conviction and that was a likely one to see an immediate and steep drop.
Let's see if this "controversy" has legs and how many who boycotted have truly switched. There's an authenticity question that will be addressed in the coming months. On both sides of the fence, with a pile of people in the middle who don't care who keep on buying what they buy

Yep Chizzy and they know it even though the tranny lovers want to pretend otherwise
Sales down a staggering 17%
Two of the executives in charge of marketing shit canned for their stupid decision
AB in massive damage control as distributors, others have cancelled AB related events including those with the Budweiser Clydesdales

DJT has between $1m and $5m invested in BUD. He's been mighty quiet on this topic.
His son says that AB doesn't participate in the woke garbage that others in the beer industry actually do. That there are worse offenders than AB. And he doesn't support the boycott or efforts to destroy a great American company.
Are they tranny lovers, too?
Do they not understand the issues?
Are they looking at the long-game or the short?
That 17% YoY figure hasn't done a damn thing today in the market. In fact, they were up yest and have been up all day. Does this controversy have legs?
BUD's market cap is back to $130.65B as of yesterday, despite all of it. What were they at pre-boycott?

What customers were they targeting Mr Gristle? Why would they alienate their traditional customer base with this stunt? Why not create a new product, yeah? Do younger people on a whole embrace the transgender crowd? I don’t think so. Just visit fraternity and sorority houses across the country. But Budweiser was trying to reach the LBGTQ+ Crowd. BTW Mr Gristle, what group does the “+” reach? You seem to be an expert on this subject. I have no idea.

BUD up again today, 54 cents off of their 52 week high.
Peter Thiel's irritated enough about the virtue signaling (cancel) culture war he's sitting out and won't donate to Republicans in 2024.
So the biggest corporate donor to the RNCC has been targeted, and the markets don't care about the boycott. That donor has a long memory. They've basically erased that $4 billion, $5 billion or $6 billion market cap loss you gents droned on about in short order. A very influential GOP donor has closed his pocket book to the GOP. The Trump's are sitting out this culture war fight (when do they ever) and some folks on the right think they've won something before all the evidence (votes) are in.
Fun time to be alive.
As for your questions Bam, I'm disinclined to participate in your continued need for edification.

... WHAT does a deflection about the Trumps and
the GOP's biggest donour have to do with Bud Light
losing sales revenue??
... AB's horrible marketing decision surely seemed
to be what the thread is about.
Why twist the thread into another direction??

It has zero to do with this thread Salty and he knows that. He knows he has been proven wrong with multiple faulty statements he has made here so he resorts to his usual tactic to try and change the subject and divert attention.
Meanwhile Bud Light sales have crashed a staggering 17%, the two head honchos in charge of this marketing disaster have been shitcanned. Yet he is here acting like:
