1. A reconciliation bill only requires a simple majority (51-50) to pass. The dems that want the extra things know THIS is the best time to go for that.

2. There were several republicans who did not want a second two thousand check to go out at all. So removing the pork doesn't make things go faster as you allude to. If republicans were on the same page with Trump with the second $2000 check, it would have passed when the hillbilly McConnell was leader of the Senate.

3. The two dems getting elected in Geogia was crucial. A Reconcilliation bill doesn't work unless the two dems had won both races in Georgia.
4. That was a good campaign tactic by Biden. The only person that is complaining about the speed of the check is you.
