Also, is that finish on the Colt, Robar? I have also seen hard chrome with that same texture.

Also, here is my Springfield GI project gun. It isn't finished, but it's starting to look more and more like the way I want it.

When I get around to getting the slide milled and some better sights installed, then I'm thinking about having it black chromed. So imagine stainless accents on a black chrome finish.
The trigger job, grip safety and thumb safety are all Ed Brown parts. The trigger breaks crisp at about 3 lbs. Also I see a new stainless barrel and bushing somewhere down the road.
It'll be nice when I get done with it.
