Why are you using air quotes? It's actual law. Laws can always be changed if congress has the will to

He really doesn’t care what the Haitians want. They were dumped there. A galaxy away from THEIR culture and way of life.
... Some 2000 Haitians - dumped there by Kamala and
the Biden Administration. ... Add some 2000 illegals
to a towne of 4000. ...

And --- how much of this is a drain on PA taxpayers??

Can't wait to see your proof for 2k illegals. This will be a fucking hoot. There aren't even 2k Haitians in Charleroi let alone 2k illegal Haitians

In recent years, about 700 Haitian migrants have moved into the town.
There's been about 1.25% of the foreign born pop there found to be illegal which is about 0.63% of the total pop. And that's being generous.

They should already have been deported unless they have still pending cases

At least the article admits that these people are indentured servants, taxpayer subsidized. 14th St can pay a reasonable salary that’d attract actual citizens or go under, like us non slave owning businesses do.

You seem overly disgruntled. That's unfortunate.

4th St starting rates are between $17 and $24 and mostly hourly.

And Celaschi is clearly underplaying the economic impact, especially the tax revenue.

there is no tax revenue for these workers. the little taxes paid in is given back thru a tax refund coupled with low income tax credits, child credits and ebt subsidies not to mention possible housing and utility assist

I love how liberals say low income people pay taxes which help the economy, smoke and mirrors

You're focused on the wrong level of taxes, Chizz. And making plenty of assumptions.

There is a good level of taxes?

And there your fundamental argument fails.

SNICK.

It's not about good or bad taxes, it's about direct revenue that wasn't there before.

Charleroi saw population growth, an increase to their tax base, more money come in through property tax, lst, municipal EIT compared to its neighbors.

The school district was set to receive an additional $2 million from the state based on the funding formula on top of any eit gains.

Home sales increased. Landlords saw an increase in rental revenues. Businesses were created. Many blighted storefronts and homes have been improved.

Most of you won't even drive into the area, let alone spend any time in the area. Visions of 2,000 Haitians out panhandling and mooching in your brains when there were only about 700 total and most were employed.

Some of them probly making a more positive impact on their town than anyone shitposting about them here
