Honestly, I relate more to the dork label and I genuinely have no clue why people seem hell bent on calling me intelligent...maybe they are assuming an escort will be flattered on some level if she's called smart instead of pretty? Or maybe I'm called smart in lieu of any other complimentary traits I could be labeled and since I don't seem(usually) particularly stupid they just roll with intelligent? Yeah, I read a lot but it's usually the National Enquirer...plus I'm borderline retarded at math and science.

You have better grammar and spelling than 80% of the posters on forums. If people are calling you intelligent online, maybe that's why. I don't really consider occupation when describing or complementing someone so I couldn't tell you if people think that's flattering. Though you do try to play it off, you've shown above average common sense and an ability to convey yourself without sounding like you would stab someone if the "discussion" were happening face to face. That could be considered intelligence.
