Alright, I read through this little banter so I'll give my two cents. I think class and etiquette simply come more naturally to some than others.
I mean, if you grew up in the "ghetto" vs. quaint suburbia there is going to be a clear distinction.
I will say that it can be learned to an extent. I'm going to use America's Next Top Model as an example. Those girls come onto that show knowing nothing about modelling and even though they're all taught the same thing, some do better than others. Sorry if that example failed - only one I can think of right now to explain myself.

I know I'm late to chime in Anita, but I wanted to give you my two cents. I also know that I'm a newbie, but I have nevertheless done a lot of research before I started posting.

First a caveat, I have not read all 10 pages of discussion so far, but have briefly looked over a couple random responses. I apologize if this is redundant.

I think "high class" is very different from a "good" or "expensive" provider. Meaning I think things like confidence, good convo, and high rates have nothing to do with with a provider's status as "high class".

High price might naturally accompany a high class provider, but I don't think this in itself makes someone high class. I would argue things like expensive lingerie, elegant and simple clothing choices, designer perfume, party favors (i.e., a Scotch for the client while talking), impeccable manners and etiquette, and an upscale incall location are more indicative of a high class provider than good convo.

A mere good lay and good convo has nothing to do with class. I'm met many trashy girls in college that were great in bed and fun to hang out with but the classiest thing about them was they always screamed "Ralph!" when they burped at dinner (which apparently made it less gross and okay?). At least they had the courtesy to turn their butt away from me when they wanted to fart during afterglow. (See where I'm going with this? )

This whole discussion is akin to George Bernard Shaw's play, "Pygmalian." Or the musical, "My Fair Lady" from which is taken from the play. Kind of the "you can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse" kind of argument.

Personally, I think we all grow, but int different ways. I somewhat subscribe to the Tabula Raza theory, and develop from there. Some of us have the advantage of learning in sophisticated finishing schools, while others learn at the school of hard knocks and fisticuffs. But we do learn. And we can learn in a compressed manner. And in this respect, I think class (as we understand it as acting correctly in society) can be learned.

However, there is another definition of class that, I think can be learned, but is much harder to learn and show. The kind of class is how you respond to others, whether you respond, react, strike back or whatever. The person with class (and this can be learned) doesn't strike back, but rather turns away wrath with a soft word.

Just sayin'.

Default Class

In my opinion we are all an alleged creator's failed experiments and broken toys.

I would believe that its the way that provider conduct herself, in public, and behind close doors. Having class of course, expensive taste in clothes, cars, dining, homes, etc. luxurious lifestyle, and frequent travel are traits of a high class/upscale provider, by my definition.

This I agree with, but I don't equate it with class...more like self control...a trait I am learning one day at a time lol. I would never mouth off in public like I do on these boards...maybe just on a girl's night, but never in front of a client, with my family, or in front of my child. We all have that ability to know what is appropriate and what is not, so I don't think one has to learn anything except when to stfu lol.

What if you're a person who always speaks when spoken to, never says a sharp word, but you dress like you are from the trailer park? Would you still be considered "classy?"

Exactly, but I do in fact provide ALL of those things, and don't consider myself a "high class" provider...maybe upscale or luxury services, but not "high class."

Okay I've been following this thread for a while and a lot of you have very strong opinions about HDH, class, etiquete and the variation between one label and the next... and while I don't think i'm an elitist or anything close, I do think there is a distinct difference from the girl on the street corner catching 10 minute car dates, the woman sitting at home, booking appointments on her laptop, and the woman who's too busy to even book her own appointments, so she has a booker. There are different levels in this field, and I think what may be occurring is an effort to dissociate from the conventional ideal of a hooker, escorts will include information that they think will net them better clients.

The target audience is different when you're comparing a street walker, an escort and a courtesan. Yes, technically we're all doing the same job, however the connotation of the title implies different levels of service as well as different stigmas and expectations. While this may not be a career the more you learn about the hobby as a whole, its expected that you'll want to grow and become better at it. Just my two cents.

Let me tell you that while all that maybe true, we are all human beings at heart doing the best we can do. That street walker maybe trying to put her kid through college and is willing to put up with more shit than a woman with a booker. Is she more classy? In my book she is. Who knows but I do know that empathy is the mountaintop of class in my book. What we country boys call a good heart. I know that when I'm around it and I see it in every different social level. So I am not sure why we feel the need to distinguish those differences.

Some of us were delt a better hand than most and should take that into consideration when discussing all this caca.

That streetwalker may have reached the highest lot in life she can reach. The HDH may have stooped as low as one can go given their background, you just never know.

Carry on folks, I'm off to go get me a classy blowjob.
