Trump probably thought the same thing. It's part of the reason he lost the election. Larger businesses aren't so stupid. They realize they're going to lose more business from mask lovers who worry about getting sick than they will from people who think masks are some kind of symbol like a swastika for leftists. There aren't a lot of people who are so annoyed by masks that they'll choose not to shop at a store where masks are required. From polls, about 70% to 85% of Texans and Floridians say they always wear a mask when they leave the house.

I don't know if I take that literally. I only see 1-2 idiots a day driving with a mask on.
But yeah, I carry a box of masks in the car and wear one if the place wants me to. Their property, their rules.
I think not wanting to leave the house because the government is not forcing people is neurotic.

I actually was yelled at today for not wearing a mask. I stopped to get gas and the pump wasn't taking any of my credit cards and the cashier guy started acting crazy. I was not expecting to even have to go inside to pay so I forgot to put a mask on. His English was pretty bad but judging by the tone of his voice, I just assumed he was pissed so I told that short little fat man to fuck off (definitely not cool on my part).
I did apologize to him though and put on a mask when I paid. I think he apologized to me too but I couldn't understand him and I could give a fuck whether he did or not because I just wanted gas in my vehicle and not a bromance lovefest.

The N95 and KN95 masks can filter out small particles up to 95%. The little blue surgical masks can filter out small particles anywhere from 30 to 80% depending on the manufacturer. The N95 and KN95 masks were harder to get back in April/May/June 2020. Thus most people are wearing the little blue surgical masks. So, if you were wearing that one and had a 5 minute conversation with an infected person the mask you were wearing may have only giving you 30% protection.
You can get the KN95 mask at some QT gas stations in Dallas for $3.99 for one. This is a good way to go if you can't get the N95 mask. However, no mask will protect you 100%. So that is probably why/how the people that you know got infected.
Also what has been pointed out by WTF and others, the mask does a better job at preventing an infected person at spreading it to others if the infected person is wearing the mask correctly.
A good link on masks.

/a/ - Thank you for a reasonable post on masks.
Unfortunately - a bit out of date - Tomorrow the texas state-wide governor's mandate expires.
To borrow from richie havens - 'Freedom, Freedom, Freedom!!!"
you DPST's will never give up on masks - both to hide your identities for Voter Fraud - and to label the population as compliant with DPST marxist ideology compliance - or NOT!
AOC is grinning at the easy identification for her 100 millions in her concentration camps!

Yeah, this mask shenanigans has gone on so long I don't notice when I do or don't have it on.
I've walked into a store a couple times w/o one on because I was either distracted by a phone call or talking to someone. When the staff said something I just said "oh shit" and put it on.
Inversely, I've come home from the store, wore the mask home in the car, and the proceeded to work half the day with it on, in a house I live alone in. Didn't notice until I dialed into a work meeting.

DPST radicals want to make masks a 24/7/365 mandate for all people - birth to death.
it is just their 'controlling and authoritarian genes' coming to the front.

I’d rather shred my balls with a cheese grater than wear one of those cuck muzzles. Only place to say something was ikea, the kid at the door gave me some shit. Pulled my shirt up over my nose and walked past, then dropped it. I’d have just left but needed a piece for some garage shelves and their online orders take forever to ship.

If you need me this weekend, I'll be moseying around downtown this weekend maskless with my "Make Austin Texas Again" shirt telling people to go back to California.
Really wish Cesar would walk into traffic or something. Fucking idiot.

Do you really pretend to know what Trump thought or thinks? And do you pretend to know what I think?

To what "larger businesses" are you referring?
The "large businesses" in which I have ventured ... removed their one way floor stickers and 6-foot floor pads after Xmas and around New Years. I suspect I spend more time in several of them than you have or do! I go to THEM .... 4-5 times a week and go to different ones, since I know where I can get what I want usually.
Please keep wearing you mask. I guess you gave up eating pussy!

Even those who died of "Covid" with two rounds in their chests.
Until the current LOONATICKS infested the guberment there was an effort ongoing to cull out the deaths erroneously blamed from Covid, but the fake cause of deaths would require a refund by the medical professionals who got the Covid-Pop for counting it as a Covid-Death.
As for the teachers/administrators who don't want to risk being infected with Covid by the students, they should be fired (OR NOT PAID) ....they certainly survived the flue seasonS! (And I've seen some "out and about"!)

I can't even say how many times I park to enter an establishment and say "oh shit" and walk back to my vehicle to grab a mask.
I know it freaks people out where I live but I honestly just simply forget on occasion. I'm used to wearing a mask now but sometimes my mind is on other things. I don't want people to feel uncomfortable but for some reason when I know I am going to be in and out in 2 seconds, I pretty much always forget to wear a mask until I see people wearing them and that's my "oh shit" and "my bad" moments to grab one from the car.
