It was you who hurried. The vaccine has not yet received a license and have not yet developed systems for how it will be transported and stored. It requires storage at extremely low temperatures. It is not known how quickly at least 50% of the population will be provided with vaccines. Let's not forget that for adequate immunization, a 2-fold injection of the vaccine is needed.

I don't believe Moderna poured any money into the presidential campaign. They're probably kissing the ground Trump walks on, after he spent $2 billion on their vaccine. And, btw, that was money very well spent. Operation Warp Speed is turning out to be a great success.

As to Pfizer, they contributed $256,520 to Joe Biden's campaign and $62,058 to Donald Trump's campaign. Which makes sense. They have a fiduciary duty to invest their shareholders money wisely and it doesn't make sense to invest in a loser.

As I said earlier, federal politicians in general and Democratic politicians in particular are not nearly as dependent on the pharmaceutical industry as they are on the lawyers. In 2020 lawyers contributed $210 million to the Democratic Party and $40 million to Republicans. The drug companies contributed $32 million to Democrats and $20 million to Republicans. Historically they've contributed a tad more to Republicans, but, again, they have a duty to invest their shareholders money wisely, it it looked like Democrats were going to be the power brokers for at least the next two years.

I do not agree with your view that, "Under Trump [the USA drug industry] was being systematically eliminated and the pharma business was on the chopping block." He encouraged drug companies to manufacture in America. Yes, he did issue an executive order to increase importation of drugs. But this along with other executive orders will create more competition and lower prices. He was right to do this.

There's a possibility the lab in Wuhan was studying the virus, which they would have collected in a bat cave in China, and it somehow accidentally escaped the lab. And then the Chinese lied about it to cover their tracks. From what I've read, that's unlikely though. There's no evidence it was man made or developed as a biological weapon.

I just have read and talked to people that work in labs that say this virus has components? that cant all come together naturally. Some of these folks are liberals.
