Billy Preston passed away yet his music lives on. Often called the fifth Beatle, he worked on several albums and also toured with Eric Clapton. Billy Preston played the Hammond B-3 organ, a huge piece of equipment that was a pain to move and heavier than hell, yes I moved a B-3 many times when I was a roadie in the 70's and 80's. Very few muscicians today play a real organ, and even fewer could play like Billy Preston, I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do:

And I am also including another song from Billy Preston, its a solo at the Guitar Festival from a few years ago:

Good morning all, its the start of a short week and people will be running around going crazy and this is only the begining. For the next 4 weeks we all seem to be running a marathon but at a sprint speed. Did that make sense? Probably not I am still trying to get the first cup of coffee in me. Instead by special request I am presenting another icon in rock music, please enjoy this incredible song from Pink Floyd, Dannie this is for you:

Good morning to all, ites Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. I am thankful for lifes many blessings, my health and friends. Please remember we have a lot of great young men and women protecting us and we certainly need to be thankful for thier many sacrifices. No matter how many times I watch stories such as this I cant seem to watch them all over and over again. I hope you enjoy todays song of the day and video:

First Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, I hope you enjoy your day of food, football, friends and family. Hey does that mean we are 4F?
I am nursing a handover, Cowboys in arlington was jumping and those 6 shots of patron and way too much vodka did me in. But I am alive, cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my single friends and man did it get cold this morning.
So here's the song of the day from Mr. Boz Scaggs, a Dallas resident now:

Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for the music! Also nursing a hangover from too much sake!
My ham is actually glazed with a brown sugar-soy-sake glaze...I wonder why I decided to use the sake on the ham? Smells great except that sh!t is expensive...
